Well I think it would be pretty sad if someone joked about throwing someone into the barriers at 70km/h. It it was suppose to be a joke then a '' or '' would be more appropriate.

though sarcasm, cynism etc really does get misinterpreted a lot here.
I really don't see how people can miss it (sometimes it might be understandable), but possibly people take posts to serious at times.

Well i checked eurosport and their coverage starts at 12 pm gmt.
So thats 23.00 in Melbourne i think.

Maybe it's because of the prologue?

Renshaw was world junior champion at the 1km time trial on the track, and the world champion (and world record holder) for the teams pursuit in seniors.

There's also a former elite world champion at the 1 k TT at the start I have no idea what that translates to in a 2 k road TT though.
