Did Mauri really fight for that big KOM money and then DNF, I don't think it counts does it?
he hardly scored any points anyway. They get more towards the end of the race.

Powless won it with 25pt on the final lap. Mauri got 8x1 and 2x3

That's why Wout was practicing his leadout. Imagine him starting in first positions here. Ready for the Euro Champs.

Hard to beat that type of sprint finish by De Lie today - Thought the final was on the limit of his capabilities but he produced a dynamite finish - Now he can ride freely in Sunday's more challenging parcours.

I think that most of the time but he's better on these short uphill efforts than we would give him with his torso. He also recovers really fast after for a sprint. What a gem.

Hopefully in the Tour next year.

Did Masnada win the KOM competition?
If he did, then it's insulting that they cut the transmission before the podium ceremony.

Masnada lost 8s? Who decided that, he was in the front group, if it was remco it would be same time.

Does anybody know where I could watch the final 50-60kms or so?

Chapeau De Lie - congrats on first WT win & probably not the last. (Lotto glad for 500 UCI points no doubt)
It seems too he followed Ma Vingegaard's advice on preparation (no back flips in the pool!) -
"I wanted to save my energy - I've watched a lot of the older editions and I knew that you had to wait for a long, long time. I had two teammates but I wanted to try and get the speed from behind," De Lie said.

He is. Not decided which one yet. Depending on parcours.

And dependent on what invitations Lotto accept - Ordinarily, the Giro has the most suitable parcours but we need to wait for the route reveal.

Last year if the final climb of Montreal was 200 metres longer than A.Yates would have dropped Pogacar, Van Aert and the like - Now if Yates x2 are in shape, then they could rip up the final climb.
