I know we're not supposed to like Simmons but I sort of can't help myself. He was also a pretty popular rider with roadside fans during the Tour, from what I saw. He does ride with a lot of panache.
Politics aside, he's one of the most aggressive riders in the peleton. Difficult not to like him for that alone in the current era of cycling.

Just like i felt every time i've seen this before, i don't like the gifting of races.
Rather Pogacar just won this. Just as i rather seen other team leaders just win it in the past.
It's gonna keep happening in the future by other riders as well. and everytime it happens, i won't like it whilst the world celebrates the sport- and teammanship.

Why aren't we supposed to like Simmons? He is a great rider and fantastic personality for the sport. Not everyone has to think exactly the same to be liked...good grief!

McNulty gained 1" on Pogacar? Eheheh

This was a gift, in GdL we will see both racing together and I'm pretty sure Pogacar will gain 3 minutes on McNulty.

The only thing that bothers me is that he gave it to McNulty. He doesn't deserve it because of his constant selfishness, last time at the Giro. He could have given it to Narvaez or Wellens if they'd been with him, not McNulty.
