Jayco stuffed up the final 40kms of the break. They should have Schmid into the late break, who would have competitive in the final, instead of him waiting for Bling who could rely on the peleton to bring it back for a sprint. A big fail.
They should have worked more and sooner in the peloton. A controlled race with a bunchsprint in the end was their best scenario.

Nah. There best scenario was to use Schmid as a second option, instead of him, wasting his time in the last 10kms trying to pull back the peleton. This is yet another example of Jayco's lack of tactical awareness in one day races.
