The Us has far more similarities to Europe than the UK. Britain is a whole different beast altogether. I definitely do not see it as Europe.

Hoping there's some typos in there messing up what you mean, because I've never heard someone claim the USA has more in common with continental Europe than the UK.

The geographical relationship of the 3 is a pretty accurate reflection of their proximity to each other culturally.
