What the hell, they have been talking 3-4 minutes about Gesink being in the Giro!! I can understand the other commentator, but Backstedt!!!

I would guess on the last lap, maybe the penultimate. So at least an hour and a bit to wait.

A little story from last year's edition. Kirby and Backstedt couldn't even get the lap count right.
As a result, when Gesink attacked and amazingly held the chase group off, we had this bland, almost comatosed wafflely chat, all through the final lap, right up until Gesink crossed the line and he celebrated the victory.
We had: "What, er, what's happening there then? oh we seem to have miscounted and that's it then. Where's EBH gone?".
A total and utter:eek::eek::eek:

I am impressed by Rabobus. Guess Gesink likes his races hard if they are willing to be aggressive this early.

He does, thats why they raced so hard in the AGR too. But then he cramped up due to his bad form. :p

I like Niermann actually, extremely loyal cyclist and doesnt complain and works hard for his leaders. :)
