It it just me, or did Cancellara snub Hinault at the stage 1 podium? It seemed he shuck everyone's hand at least twice yet never gave Hinault a glance.

Probably not but anythings possible given Hinault's penchant for shooting his mouth off and upsetting all and sundry.

God I hope we get to see Hinault beat someone up again this Tour. Last year we got spoiled . . .

Cadel Evans.

Hinault has the palmarés to say pretty much whatever he wants.

Well in that case we will have to accord the same courtesy to LA.

But hey great reasoning, you win a few bikes races and then you can have carte blanche to slag anyone off you choose! and with no right of comeback, even better!

Please don't compare a rider that focused on one race during his career with a champion that was active during an entire season, won all grand tours more than once and many classics. In a recent interview Eddy Merckx stated he raced 150 days in one season. LA—30, 40 days?

According to a secret ASO document I recent got to skim read, by my translation, if the tour has turned into a bit of a flop, Hinault and Evans are to duke it out atop the Ventoux.
