Any idea how stable Carnac's shoe sizing has been, particularly in the TRS line, over the last decade or so?
I've been riding the same pair of Carnac TRS4 shoes on the road since 2000. These are the black-and-yellow triathlon shoes, which are a bit funky in appearance but for me have been the most comfortable shoes ever in 45 years of road cycling. Unfortunately, though, they're coming apart at the heels and need to be replaced.
Since Carnac dealers have gotten hard to find in California where I live, I've been trying out other brands, but so far they all make my poor old feet hurt, so I'm back to looking for Carnacs.
On eBay, I found a pair of Carnac TRS6's, which look quite similar to my old TRS4's and are numerically the same size as my old shoes. There's some rather off-putting language about their returnability, though, so I'm reluctant to buy them without any idea whether Carnac has kept the fit pretty constant over the years. So if anyone has any information or informed opinion on that, I'm all ears! Thanks in advance.
