Griepel is the gorilla!
Your conviction (albeit based on little evidence) does you credit. Your spelling, less so.

him a week or so for the scabs and bruises to heal properly.
taiwan said:Aside from the battle sin the GT sprints, I hope we see some unexpected performances from these three, e.g. in Classics, harder stages, even breakaways. Enjoyed seeing Greipel win from the break that time last year, and also get pretty far in P-R. Goss will be pretty versatile too, and you never know what Cav might do this year.

Grinding perpetual domination is the holy grail of professional sports.
It all goes wrong when people get bored and try to be something they're not.
Just bat and bat and bat and bat, until you're Alistair Cook.
taiwan said:Hm, all three of them can't dominate simoultaneously though. Apart from Cav (grinding perpetual domination, pretty much) the others look to have potential for the tougher Classics. If they can develop in that direction, why not?
Waterloo Sunrise said:Yeah, I was just talking about Cav - obviously ordinary riders have to get what they can.
Not like lovely Alistair.

I see euanli was more then an hour faster....
Swede1 said:Greipel is obviously my pick. I stuck with him last year when it didnt go so well. This year he will kill Cav in number of wins and in head to head wins. I think Greipel is equal to if not faster than Cav in an equal sprint. Now with his leadout this year he will hopefully have the advantage = many wins for Greipel.
Goss is not yet on the same level as those 2. He is fast but first has to prove he can beat Cav and Greipel or at least consistently be up there in the big races.

Midnightfright said:I really like Griepel and think hes the only one that can beat Cav in a straight up Sprint if hes in any type of form. But last year he wad inconsistent altough he did a lot of work for Gilbert and in the past on the rare occasion him and Cav sprinted from similar positions Cav tended to come out on top. I haven't seen anything yet this year to convince me otherwise . Griepel has been my pick for a while for MSR and I still think that
Swede1 said:In most of the times he sprinted against Cav he started from like 15th wheel and still only lost by a couple of feet. One of the few times he actually started one wheel ahead of Cav he beat him. (his tour stage win)

2nd Matthew Harley Goss
3rd Andre Greipel
Goss got pretty close to Cav in Copenhagen but Greipel was well behind, though he didn't have great position again.
Kwibus said:Could be, but I have yet to see a sprint in which Cavendish isn't fast because he is tired.
Was I right or what?maltiv said:Cav vs Greipel vs...Goss? The same Goss who failed to get into the top 10 in a single stage of TDU?
No, Kittel is the man. He's the only sprinter with potential to beat Cavendish on a regular basis.
