I had to rewind because I had missed the Mallorca birds part, yeah, that was pretty tame. Civilized almost, the birds had kept their distance.

Marit had one pro win before today.

Remco was waving his arms like a man possessed when he was trying to catch up on the previous descent with a moto in front of the lead rider. I didn't see him telling the moto to effoff when he attacked on the final climb. But it does happen all the time. Suppose its ok if its your fav rider, and not if its not.

So maybe 20 comments trashing the motopacing, a few saying it happens every race, yet you twist it to make it seem like rampant fanboyism?

I wasn't twisting anything. I was pointing out that Remco was waving like a madman at the moto who was in front of the lead guy when he was trying to catch up on the descent, but no waving at the moto when it was in front of him on the uphill when he attacked.

as mentioned before, I don't think a team like Bora would sign Marit as a sprinter. He is more likely there to fit into a Haller type of domestique role. The less reasons he has to have personal ambitions, the better.

This is true but riders do end up off the road in the TDU where such things could, though unlikely, happen.
