Yeah, but they don't really hop around, or fly, do they...

Copy Pasted your response

This is true but riders do end up off the road in the TDU where such things could, though unlikely, happen. ;):cool:

@AmRacer

IMHO Rogla hasn't even shaved yet it's just not a thing ATM. TA and then slowly building up towards Vuelta, hopefully one massive win after another, to keep the momentum. RBH likely already is No.2 team now and it's only appropriate for leaders to share some burden.

You don't trust Rogla could've powered the team to victory.

Rogla trusted Remco so no real worries involved, they are a confident team now with enough depth to win a lot. And besides Rogla is scheduled to perform a bit latter in the season, mostly for stage racing, so no real need to focus on him so much ATM. Relax, we will get some Rogla rather soon-ish, don't be so impatient!

Without the team, Remco wouldn't have won the TTT.
He would have won an ITT, which is not a TTT.

Without the team Remco likely wouldn't have won the other two either. It's a team sport on where you get nowhere without a good team and yet in the end individual quality and result is praised and acknowledged the most. That is on why in this sport it doesn't really matter on who finished behind top 10, TV doesn't show that at all.

I know Rogla could've powered the team to victory.

There are riders who have won big races without a team.

I don't know if you're deliberately saying other names but I would assume AmRacer is talking about Pogacar winning whenever he's riding with the Slovenian National Team.

Seriously? Pogi?

C'mon guys. As for the national team, Pogi wasn't able to become World champion until Rogla joined and claiming that Slovenian national team is weak now that is rather weak argument by itself.

And his first Tour, that wasn't much of a team to talk about.

JV was the strongest team so Pogi had a strong team at disposal when he won his first Tour.

Rogla didn't do much when Tadej won, hardly visible.

Pogi didn't race for JV.

@AmRacer

All in all if this is it and you don't have any other names, then good luck with such argument, on how Pogi is a great example on how one doesn't need a good team to win. Both UAE and national selection are stellar.
