Also, is it me or has Vlasov lost sprint speed compared to previous years? You would expect him to win at least one of the two sprints he's been involved in this week.

He looked to be sprinting on a too high of gear, but yeah in general he doesn't look that fast anymore, even tho Van Eetvelt has a decent sprint himself.

I also did not expect this sprint to be flat or even a lil bit uphill in the end, on the profile it looked completely downhill. Cool win by Lennert. Not that big of a surprise ofcourse, he was already really good on Wednesday, just made a rookie mistake.

Carr didn't pull once after he was caught, right?
Did he? Felt that he just wasn't as good as Van Eetvelt. It's not like he was coming closer in the last 10m.
You're right, from above he does indeed not gain anything.

I think the finish was fine, it was clean both in front and behind. Vlasov should have seen it with his own eyes before today.

Van Eetvelt was behind the split on Sóller, you could say that Vlasov and McNulty shouldn't have waited for their teammates to recover and pull before attacking.

Nice race today. A bit gutted for Aleks, but Van Eetvelt won fair and square.

Good race by Voissard, looking forward to see him at breaks on heavy climbing days in Il Giro. (i guess the team will take him, despite being on the PCS startlist for Hungary).

Good race as well from Romeo and Arrieta, as well as Herregodts. Rune looks a bit improved (at least in his climbing) this year.

Its not the first time that EF has tried Kamikaze tactics in hilly races and be left wanting at the finish.

In the position of Lotto they have to chose their targets very wisely to archive wins.

Of course they're going to be around in the big classics. They're present at the Tour de France and going for stages and major placements at the Vuelta a Espana again.

Winning these smaller races which still have a good reputation now with Van Eetvelt and later on again with De Lie are a good way to perform for them.

Then it doesn't make sense to ride the Giro d'Italia for presence only of course. Better win races like today and focus on Tour de France & Vuelta a Espana after the classics.

As long as McNulty keeps getting cramps. I think he is the most likely rider to finish it off alone tomorrow.
I'm thinking someone with strong qualities who followed today. Someone like Igor or Aleotti who did not have to pull or work and stayed with the chase could go well.
