MBotero said:I agree Froome is really one of the craziest riders i ever seen, but don't expect that Contador fans will ever admit that Froome is more aggressive than their hero.
Afrank said:At this point it can't be claimed Froome has been overall more aggressive then Contador in his career. Not yet anyway. Contador has a long history of attacks of all kinds, whereas Froomes history of attacking only goes back to 2011 and doesn't iirc include any long range attacks.
MBotero said:I saw that Giro 2011 and by aggressive riding i wasn't thinking at long range attacks,it's just Froome style always trying to attack no mater his condition, ignoring tactics, chasing everybody ,carrying all his adversaries up the mountain etc.
TomekA said:His form is big question mark. Did he look so exhausted also in last year's Dauphine? I don't remember. Of course he crashed yesterday but he also seemed exhausted in stage 2. I thought he is huge favourite for TdF win but now I'm not so sure...

Dazed and Confused said:Froome is one level below last year.
Its pretty obvious. Not only here but the entire season.
Only race where I think he was stronger was TdR, but we didn't get the confirmation as Froome waited for Spilak.
Just my opinion.
MBotero said:We'll see about this, those crazy attacks from stage 2 looked pretty good to me so i'm not so sure he is weaker. He looks weaker because Contador is flying these days.![]()

Jelantik said:meh. Contador kicked Froome's a-ss today. Fair and square, period. Tomorrow is another day, and it's not over yet. Maybe the table will turn, who knows, but one thing for sure, this turns out to be the great first round battle of the titans. I can't complaint. ... <ops what's that sound? ..ah, my popcorn is ready>![]()

AC is looking great. Maybe at his best ever. But Froome not responding after a hard crash today doesn't say to me that his form is below last years.
Now Nibali... you can write that guy off completely.
TANK91 said:Great ride but hardly a kicking was it. Froome cracked and lost just 2 seconds when he took it up. How is it an excuse when Talansky outclimbed Froome today. Froome would have put a min into Talansky the other day but he kept waiting. You don't suddenly get worst than Talansky in a matter of day's
So the crash clearly took it out of him it must have. Also good thing for Sky is Nieve is great and Porte.
He was out of his saddle during his most ridiculous attack. IIRC.Cimber said:I cant remember getting out of the saddle during stage 2. Even during his really amazing accelerations

Jelantik said:Just give the credit when the credit due.. Froome got his a-ss handed by Contador today, especially considering how much he tried to drop Contador (unsuccessfully) several times on stage 2. Kick a-ss or not kick a-ss, fact is: Froome got his a-ss handed by contador "today", period.
tomorrow is another day. Game on.![]()

Today was much steeper. He did gain a 4-5 seconds on Contador on the least steep part in the final K today, but lost around 8-9 seconds on the final steeper 500 metres.
