Pretty sure Henao will be in the Tour team too as he has done lots of recon with Froome, if he has a good Suisse then that would seal it, although that wouldn't necessarily make the TTT side better. After such a tough Giro I wouldn't expect many of that team to also be in the Tour which is bad news for the likes of Kiri and Konig.

I really started to think that Movistar and esp Astana will absolutely demolish Saxo n Sky

In the tour? As teams they might do better but Froome and AC will be right up there with Nibbes and Quintana.

But that TTT... I guess Froome will have G, but Nibs will bring better versions of his whole team, as well as Fugslang.

Astana could gain 45 seconds on Sky, and 10 on Movistar, with Quintana already having lost on the ITT. Saxo is a bit of an unknown. This Dauphine team is nothing like the Tour team, only Kiser will be in both proabably. But when the parcours suits everyone of the top 4 in different ways 45 seconds is actually going to be harder to pull back than normal.

Sky are not going to lose 45 seconds to Astana in the TTT unless they're handicapped by having less riders

yes they are

If Porte and G are there with good form, they won't lose that much time. In fact they could gain time. Yes Astana will be bringing their A game but so will Sky. Sky knows how to prepare for a GT.

Yes since Sky has won so many GT's  :D Seriously sky fanboys are so delusional holy moly......

I dont think they will loose that much time with G and Porte in there with form those two would provide a pretty significant boost to any team but Porte is per date a pretty big IF but regardless with that team I expect sky to be up there but loose 5-10 sec

I was just called a Sky fan!! :D
Sky fans take note. You can never again call me a crazy Contador fan that trolls sky lovers. :D

You make it sound like 2 TDF victories and 5 other GT podiums is something to be embarrassed about. By just about any honest assessment, SKY has been extremely successful in the grand tours and one week stage races.

The big question is Richie Porte ...after preparing since last year & being in top form that Giro would have had to hurt ...maybe as much to go back on the beer !!

Thomas , Henao will come in ...and I would bring Kiri as a great TTer and very strong guy to have

Poels may not be ready as just back from a bad injury

...In fairness to Roche he has done the lions share of domestique work for Froome & Porte at Andalucia. Paris Nice, Catalunya & Romandie ...always there when others waxed & waned...So I think he will be at the Tour as he is consistent and is road captain (never had a problem with TTT before but 2 duds at SKY now needs addressing but if he paced himself better then he would not have had such a problem...)

Kennaugh & Stannard should be there

So that leaves 2 places & I would bring Deignan & Nieve as very good climbers

Sky lost riders to mechanicals so normally he wouldn't of needed to say on or do so much work. I imagine this will be Sky's tour team:

Froome, Konig, Porte, Kiry, Thomas, Henao, Roche, Stannard, Kennaugh

I don't think Konig and Vasil will make it,more likely Poels and Rowe. There is still time for Poels to get into shape,i'm hopeful he'll be ready.

Konig's down to do it think it's between Kiry and Rowe for the 9th spot.

I dont know why, but Sky looks rubbish again this year.Except Froome of course (and maybe Henao).Their last good year was 2013 which is weird
(besides Stannards crazy 2014)

If they dont sort out things before Tour, their team will be weak.

You do realize that the season doesn't begin with Giro and end with Vuelta, with TdF being the only race in between?

Porte and Thomas had a great beginning to the season

I don't think so.They are doing just fine:http://www.procyclingstats.com/team/Team_Sky_2015
Not really impressive wins for a team of this magnitude, except Giro stage and PN.

I don't think Sky look so bad. I think since last year the competition has got better.
Astana ,Movie star are really putting the gas down and it's not so easy for Sky to dominate like they did "back in the day"

I have not read all the post's but I thought Froome looked well out of position at the bottom of the last climb today.

I'm sure tomorrow they will be all over it. Its a big day.

They are the 1st-3rd best team so far this season behind maybe Etixx and Movistar. Astana is fairly close as well but 0GC victories?
Tinkoff pathetic, not a single WT-stage won, only GC in Giro but it doesnt make up for 4 months with 0 successes

whats the best team stands for?

for me its a team who wins monuments, classics GT's and wt stage races.andalucias and trentinos are mehh for such a team...
Im not saying they are bad with WT comparison, but with their previous years (2013,12)
