It won't be a distraction this year, if anything the news that he will be a father is more likely going to spur him on, it may be a distraction for next season after his child is born this winter, for some it can drive them on further but other sportsmen it has perhaps been a distraction and performances have suffered, but as I said that will not happen this season anyway.

There's a grain of truth to what you say, in that SJWs do unleash their anger on targets that tick those boxes with often surprisingly little else there that would warrant it
But if you genuinely think this is what is causing animosity towards Froome, that's frighteningly far off the mark. I'm baffled as to how one could possibly come to that conclusion.

Yes...I guess sport allows one to live emotions one does not necessarily have the 'room' or opportunity to do in real life...And hate can be as powerful as love and maybe more cathartic
I am not against posters hating SKY or Froome but at least lift it above the level of bilious name calling, leave out the innocents and have some level of coherent argument rather than just saying mutant over and over again

I don't see the issues with making jokes about Froome's riding style and appearance on the bike, sheesh grow a pair, do I care about every single "the steaks are high" joke? NO of course not, it may get boring but it's completely harmless, yes jokes about children are in bad taste but don't make it seem like everyone who jokes about Froome and calls him alien, egg beater, washing machine etc would also call his baby unhuman or whatever
