Guessing you've never had a pet snake before? You don't keep an animal as a pet if you cannot feed it. No difference between a live mouse and one that has been farmed and killed before frozen.

"I felt like intervening and stopping it. But the pythons had to be fed and it was my responsibility."

My cats actually did something similar they got into a neighbours rabbit hutch and killed some newborns. We ended up paying to secure the hutch so it didn't happen again.

Seems like a rather typical person otherwise, but it's no surprise he's demonised by certain quarters.

I tend to agree with Jagartrott that he may come across as friendly and humble in the media, but I said it before, I am sure it's fake. His actions tell a different story.

I didn't know they stabbed bulls to death in The Netherlands. I'll take your statement as absolute fact though, since no one on the internet is ever wrong about anything like this.

The "general speaking" come from the Armstrong trauma . It doesn't work anymore. Being in yellow in Paris is no more being the best.

As I've explained already, the circumstances matter. But the Tour being by far the biggest race in cycling, by far the biggest stage race, by far the one the stage racers would love to win the most, means winning it is generally speaking the strongest evidence a rider is the best GC rider.

Completely uncontroversial, but Contador hasn't won it lately so the status of the Tour needs to be denigrated.

The circumstances matter that's right. And there are quite a lot in this Tour hence you can't draw any conclusion. Little evidence once you know Froome was average in this Tour bar one stage where he was strong, and today weak.

The Tour being the biggest race doesn't mean anything. Giro 2011 Contador was much stronger than Evans Tour 11', Vuelta 2012 Contador / Rodriguez stronger than Wiggins Tour 2012 , Vuelta 2014 injured Contador on par with Nibali Tour 2014. Not speaking of the rest of the season.

jesus, you really really hate sky don't you. the bolded is the biggest load of horsesh!t i've ever read. contador was rubbish in 2012 and won by being 'contador'.

Yeah maybe a bit OTT on the snake bit, however what's the difference to someone having a pet cat that manages to catch and kill and bird/rat/mouse while outside? That's just the animal kingdom for you. Snakes are meat eaters and must be fed.

Chris Froome wouldn't be a favourite of mine but some of the treatment he's received on this tour is pretty despicable and it's hard to see why he is being singled out when others in the past weren't. The hater seems to be a new and unattractive feature of all sport these days.

Well done Chris for riding it out despite the haters. Chapeau.

Congrats Froome. Not at all among my favorites, far from it, for various reasons, but the fact is he's strongest at the moment. Deserved the yellow.

Big congrats to Froome. A very worthy winner that doesn't deserve all the flak he gets. Winning two Tour de France's in a three year span is a significant achievement.

It is not certain it was urine, as you very well know.
All 3 were the target of various forms of abuse from the fans. Armstrong was spat at, Rasmussen too IIRC, Contador had steaks thrown at him and all 3 were boo'ed.
