Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

He said he wanted a slower build up in 2016 so I guess it makes sense to ride a 2.1 race and presumably get plenty of warm weather training under his belt at the same time. It will be interesting to see what his first race in Europe will be. You'd think we can now rule out Algarve and Andalucia.

too bad that he doesn't race tour down under

it makes sense though because the aussie riders are in tour de france shape there.

OGE will have two camps - One in Australia and one in Europe.

OGE wan't to put on a good show in OZ but the National Championships are just as important as the TDU.

Anyways expects Gerrans and Ewan to prominently feature.

Could be an interesting fight between them BMC (Dennis/Porte) & Sky (Kwiatkowski/DVP)

Expect the National Championship TT to be a hotly contested affair - Dennis and Porte can beat the OGE riders - In saying that Porte and Rogers are hardly flavour of the month with the AIS/ACF - Though you want them at the Olympics Road race.

But he is wrong about Sky pushing it in the wind, it was mostly Etixx and Tinko Saxoff, and there's nothing wrong with attacking in the wind of course :p
Actually it was Lotto, BMC and Quintana's shitty positioning.

Not sure which race you watched. Etixx and Tinkoff were definitely the biggest contributors, although Lotto and BMC helped out too. But yes, Sky did almost nothing.

Guess some bias idiots on here will continue to call him a mutant and ET , no matter what
If you think that has any credibility whatsoever, you haven't been paying attention
I have been paying attention ...this is what was asked for and this is what he gave..VO2 max for instance was the cry of many cynics on here
And what's more it is more than what other riders are providing
But hey no matter what he does there will the same people with the big stick, sticking it to Froome and SKY
Give us your data
Oh it s not the right data
Oh we don't believe it
Oh we wanted this and not that

And you talk about credibility and paying attention

As much as I do not care for Froome. And I'm going to be skeptical of his story.

He just released more data then anyone else. So he should be given the credit for doing it.
IMHO

You think after all the stuff Sky's said, all the contradictions, all the media hype, this would be to go ahead with a clean slate? Power date proves nothing, VO2 max proves zilch. It was done in England for *** sake. Stuff like that is just too easy to get away with and everyone's buying it. There's just very few ways to prove you're legit, and doing such a dumb test certainly isn't one of them. Guy wins tour, tests himself 2 weeks later. Yeah, that's Tour winner power output right there. No *** ***.

I'm not gonna believe shams like this until someone comes up with a legit reason for me to not be sceptic about it.

If you're looking only at expert credentials you should try critical thinking. Test was done in GBR, if they really wanted it to look unbiased, they'd do it somewhere else, and even then you don't know which game is played behind the scenes.

It's not about hating, it's about knowing when research means something. They have 1 data point in 2007. Then they directly translate his power output to his super thin output, cause they assume that power output won't change when you change into a skeleton. They assume he's clean during the tests because they test him (if they even do that, and if they'd do the same tests they'd do as when he was racing, it would just be selection bias).

Froome and Sky put themselves out there with their cleaner than thou attitude, then they follow that up with empty arguments, contradictions, and more ***. Why do they do that? Because people fall for it, even though Armstrong did the exact same thing and was busted only a couple of years ago.

I don't think anyone can open a closed biased mind...so yes you go one being a sceptic...its the refuge of the ignorant

So while you are at it lets be having your view on data from Contador the well know doper or Valverde ...no don't think so

Any can you stop with the racist slurs on England. Even if done on the north pole you wouln't be happy because you hate , hate, hate
. But the company (an american company) was picked for is accessibility and done in England because it was available) but hey you just demonstrating more ignorance and hatred.Just because it is an English test it has no credibility????? ....what an idiot you really are
Let's agree on that part.

Apparently now I hate the English. Didn't know they were a race, sorry.

Come on, use common sense. He's not hating on the fact that it was conducted in England because England is a corrupt nation or whatever, it's because Sky are based there, so it might potentially be easier to cover up any suspicious results. I personally don't believe that the fact that it was conducted in England should have any bearing, because it would be much easier to cover results up in a country where less things are officially documented. However, for me, Froome shouldn't have chosen the company conducting the tests himself, instead it should have been chosen by an independent commission, as we all know what Sky come up with when left to their own resources *5.78W/kg... lol*
