Beating Roglic and Thomas on the line in a tough mountain stage. Improvement is visible.
LOL ... maybe he will improve even more and be able to beat Cav in tomorrows moutain stage.

I guess he is holding on to try and give his team some sort of ROI on the 5 million salary (after all we are talking about him), but I dont' think ridicule or sympathy "attention" is what ISN had in mind when they signed him.

He can't show improvement, he crashed on second stage. And i'm not saying that froome would show some improvements if he didn't crash, i don't bet on it. But he even didn't have that oportunity of show something because of the crash.
He cant show improvement with tha injuries and with rain, and helping the team as we see some stages in front of the peloton...But,l think that is so far. Becouse after the rest day i hope a new Tour for him. He could be in condition to show the level he got to race this Tour...a level not to get a top ten of GC, but maybe to be in the top ten at some stage.

Cav is your and Froome's friend:
"Froomey's a friend of mine, but even if it was someone I didn't like… If I see somebody being able to suffer, not just physically but mentally as well, to get back to where they were, then I applaud it. It's the strongest thing you can do."

Have to admit, I've joined in with some of the joking around Froome and a couple of my comments have probably been a bit mean-spirited given his current state. But the ISN road-captain has survived longer in the race than the Ineos road-captain, so I guess that's something. Credit to the guy, it's been a tough tour and I thought he was gone after that hard crash early in the race.

But I'll leave the more fulsome praise to Taxus as he does a better job. ;)

You cant compare current level of Froome with any Ineos rider. Thomas is doing a great job for the team.
I uses to select 5 o 6 riders I am interested in the race on the GPS and I see that most of the kilometres Froome is close to Woods...I understand he is sometimes protecting him. Not a big job, but not just saving energy as much as possible. He didnt crash anything, but he said has problem to be out od the sadlle and at the begining even to laugh, for the big pain on the chest. It is not easy to recover from that racing a difficult race as le Tour, and more with rain for him., With this good weather I has the hope he can show himself one day in a break or close to the best, But it is difficyl to be optimistic. The level of the stage figthing or the level to be in a top 40 in a mountain stage is really high. This is the Tour, and it is a nice and hard Tour this year, with lot of people out and not just by crashes.
Without the crash, it would have been a better level for sure, but I hope a good performance one day, not just to finish helping a little the team which it has a big merit with a crash in his case anyway.

Wich hard Tour?? this is a training with my friend, isnt it? : :p
