What I do appreciate about Horner nowadays is that he isn't beholden to anyone, and as a result doesn't seem to hold back on any of his analysis in an attempt to court favour.

Does he still consider Wout better?Horner is hypercritical of MVDP, some of it justifiably, but most of it seems to be based on the fact that MVDP is not Wout van Aert, his special favourite.
Chris Horner also has a very soft spot for Primoz Roglic, as does Johan Bruyneel and both of them still think he has much to offer.
I think the rest of us believe he is finished.
I wouldn't say Roglic is finished. Froome was finished straight after his accident. If you think what Horner did at the age of 40+ I think Roglic still have something to offer. Maybe Horner thinks that way. Then again level between Horner and Nibali back then and nowadays, the bar sits probably quite a bit higher, to challenge Pogi or Vingo or Remco aso.Chris Horner also has a very soft spot for Primoz Roglic, as does Johan Bruyneel and both of them still think he has much to offer.
