Froomey used to be just a very good cyclist but since 2020 he's become a legend!
Absolutely… :)

If someone would have asked me few years ago, do I believe Froome would be willing to fight back through what he now has gone through, I would have said: „No way! He loves cycling, but he has things in life that he enjoys even more. He‘ll quit as soon as he‘s not #1 any more.“…

The opposite has happened. He rides on, and keeps smiling even if he‘s dropped by CT riders at 2.1 or 2.2 races. He now has proven he loves what he does. Most other champions couldn’t stand these performance-wise humiliations.

But as we see with Valverde, Oscar Sevilla, Rebellin, Mancebo, and more and more older riders, this current road bike racing seems to be something like an „addiction“. The roads all over Europe are better and smoother than ever. These modern high-end pro bikes are incredibly fast, incredibly aesthetic, and - in addition to the powermeters and all devices - make training and racing an absolute pleasure. It‘s more fun than ever, it‘s actually even „more“ than cycling.

You see this stuff, modern textiles, modern bikes, and cannot wait going out, training and racing. New bikes, new everything, every twelve months. I think I understand why Froome seems to be more motivated than ever. :)

But I don't even know what is the worse option:

1) Froome believes everything he says and everyone around him goes along with it.

2) Froome makes up what he says and everyone around him goes along with it.

3) Froome and his team make up what he says as part of their media strategy.
In the past hundred pages we've been discussing, talking, or speculating more about those options than anything directly related to cycling, might as well change the title to Chris Froome Delusion Thread.

Welp. He's been shoveling legendary amounts of BS since he first came to prominence in the 2011 Veulta, so if one is a fan, they're already used to it or just can't see it.
You know it's bad when Rasmussen is trolling you for being a BS artist.

I mean, this latest con really cracks me up. Froome is a complete f*cking idiot (and yes, I fully admit he is also a rich one ... money don't necessarily discriminate for stupidity)

I think it’s a bad habit to call someone stupid as a general insult when it’s not even a good description. I’m quite sure that he is smarter than the median, so why not instead tell what it is that bothers you about him? That he is a delusional liar who treats his audience as idiots is probably a more accurate description.

It used to be a common habit to call someone a homosexual as an insult, even when it clearly was inaccurate. I’m glad that habit is less common now.

But this isn't true. He clearly cares enough that he spends a lot of time coming up with complete BS explanations to why he isn't anywhere near competitive.

I mean he couldn't care less what people think of his explanations, and rides on, coming 54th, 36th, 107th while people get their knickers in a twist cause he's riding a Crit on a special painted bike. I love him, I'm boased I know. the fact he's still racing, whatever happens, is great. rent free

I don't personally hate the guy, at this point I find him rather amusing. And I don't think he's stupid either - as long as people keep on buying his BS he'll keep on selling it.

Here is the latest development in that technology.

It sound a quite incredible story, but who knows.

I tried to put the bikes at the same way, and the result is that the saddle is not at the same hight.
What, is he trying to show that there are large (2 cm) discrepancies in his seat heights because more of the seatpost is showing on one of the bikes? Does he measure “seat height” from the top of the downtube? Looks like the nose of the saddle comes up to the same spot on his hip. It’s so weird that he’s even posting this (trying to explain his claim) and using this set of images as “proof” is even weirder.

I writed : I...so it was me...he said something so I tried to wacth it that can be truth...there are the pictures with the more similar positions I founded....Of course if they are not at the same postition you cant compare, but I putthe wheels at the same level and the saddle is not. Not for a little, is clearly higher at tha factor bike he uses at his current team. Maybe the real difference is lower as it appears, b ut it is had to belive there is not a difference looking at the pictures.
