He didnt crash again. He was compiting with a broken scaphoid...I dont know if the first x-ray was wrong, they didnt watch It very well or he did another one. But yesterday night a X-ray confirmes is Broken and maybe need surgery

If Imis this case, Pogacar took 2 month to come back to compete after the same at Lieje, but he was very strong at le Tour, so I am optimistic...but of course is not the best moment to an injury like this. Hope to see him competing in May anyway, if the surgery go well.

“After crashing on stage 2 of Tirreno-Adriatico, Chris Froome underwent an X-ray on his left wrist which did not indicate a fracture. Despite managing to race stages 3 and 4, Chris underwent advanced imaging at the earliest possible moment after stage 4 where an MRI confirmed a scaphoid fracture,” his team said.

“Chris will return home to see a specialist to determine whether surgery will be necessary and to advise a treatment and recovery plan.”

Issue is not surgery for Froome, it's quality race days, you can't climb w a fiberglass cast, or immobilizer on your wrist and he needs race days and his team would be silly for a Giro selection even if he was 100% and getting quality results, he wasn't doing either before cracked wrist. TDF in the real world should have always been out of the question..They should shoot for a Vuelta farewell tour, don't know what all this is proving. Team must be flush with money to fund Rwanda and now this.. Team is getting the jersey out there for the right reasons but looks like a wash when so much media is focused on failing, flailing Froome, not a good look

Hope news soon...It is not normal the lack of info becouse he is a mediatic rider.
For Poggi was 2 month without compiting, He broked more than the scaphoid, and It was complicated, but Mikel Bizcarra needed surgery, and It was just one month for next race, and he was not bad there, and a moth later (2 from the crash) at Pais Vasco he was 25th, more or least the best level he can reach. And Froome injury shouldnt be very bad becouse they didnt detect It at a first X-ray. It would be good to know if he need surgery and how IS going on. 🤔😢

Pogacar crash was much more important, he had a much bigger fracture in the scaphoid and as well the bone beside broken. Froome fracture wanst watch at a first look and dont need surgery. Mikel Bizkarra needed surgery and was riding quite well 1 moth later of the fracture.
Anyway Froome did 2 long stages, with some climbs, with a fracture in a painfull bone, so that has his mérito...no compared with the Tour of Hamilton with the collarblone broken 🤣 but not bad.
