Incredible ride from him today, anyone who thinks this guy is mentally weak like Wiggins need to think again. Pure heart and fight from him.

He was riding like this when he was working for Wiggo, drilling it at the front then dropping, coming back at the front and drilling it again, commentators were always amazed by him, they always thought he's gone. The guy is a fighter,he attacked multiple times when he was in crap form,he attacked even when he had minutes over his rivals in GC:D

Once again his Team kills him afoot of the climb--- WTF is going on with them?

Maybe they tried to find out if he can benefit from a Sky full paced train in one of the future stages:cool:

Want that La Toussuire(hope i spelled that right) he was dropping Wiggo took the pace up Froomecame straight back and attacked?. Ive never rode a bike in my life on a mountain but maybe Froome just does not have the accelration look at stage 6 he blew Quintana up seated yet same today he was going past the stragglers very easy with his tempo. Is this Ullrich?

Cheers, I'd forgotten some of the bizzare rides he did supporting Wiggo. It was a bit reminiscent of those in a lot of respects

Without last year's explosiveness, it still looks like a lost cause, but if he can find a bit more form....

He must have narked the three amigos today at least :p

Good fighting spirit by him today after struggling early on. Strange SKY pace early, is Brailsford ****ed off because of "The Climb" or what?
Did not think he'd had it in him, to repeately bounce back, but he managed his energy well. Certainly some stem looking today too I guess, in order to prevent cracking, but also lot more gut riding I believe. Go your own pace, fight and see where you end up. He did formidable to finish with Bertie & the others. People may laugh at his performance and the dropping and coming back but certainly, those are people one can never please. Chapeau to the ride today.

Froome showed his mettle today. A prideful ride from a past Tour winner, his power meter would have told him he didnt have it today, but he fought and then seeing him set the pace around 2km out was very inspiring, pure guts from Froome today.

You shouldn't go overboard with Froome's mettle, he was just playing possum.

You don't get dropped 6 times (including once by a teammate) if you are bluffing. If you look he just set a tempo all climb and fought as hard as he could. He could not respond to attacks but didn't give up, that's what I liked about him today.
