You do have an agenda with Froome, you can't let the coffee comment from his book drop...
I don't have an agenda, I have an issue with him, and it's his false modesty.

Fair enough, you may have a point there. Now, admit you were wrong on the respect and race thing, and we can draw a line under it.
Oh, I never said anything about racism. I posted "Not racist but it is slightly disrespectful imo."
I have an issue with Froome's false modesty (as stated above) and another (related) thing I do not like is how he always claims to have huge respect for his rivals yet he often has little digs at others that don't show much respect IMO. This is another one of those digs. Not a big deal in and of itself but in the bigger picture it's quite significant (again in my opinion).

Do you still believe he made up the story about urine being thrown at him? Or was he disrespecting the fan?

Again another comment from Froome that has been made into a mountain from a mole hill. It does appear that quite a few people (mainly on twitter) just spin everything he says into a negative.
He always gives rivals respect in interviews bar the odd incident and he has had to put up with a lot of BS over the last few weeks, From reporters wanting a witch hunt to some 'fans' appalling behaviour of spitting and urine throwing.

Actually while I feel sorry he's got to endure such behaviour from those "fans", and while it's clearly not easy racing at best with such a pressure connected to his performances, the man's never been a class act.
Not in this Tour.
Not the last, remarking how Nibali won just because he wasn't there.
Not even before, what with the climb to La Toussuire during Wiggins' Tour.

Froome has absolutely zero class. As a rider, with his FUGLY position, as a sportsman, with his behaviour.
There are many likable fellas at Sky.
He's not one of them.
And don't get me started on his b...wife

Any proof of this? A link?

All the people that know Froome knows he is a lovely guy, and I ma sure Quintana and Nibali think the same.
Nibbles and his fans here showing a lot of class

No Sky paid him, or there were no witnesses, or something

They have no class, just like their favourite rider. It is the same with Contador fans. When your favourite rider is a proven cheat you wouldn't expect fans of said rider to have any class.

Wow. Not that I really care too much about the polemics of today, but to paint all the fans of someone with your own (admittedly flawed and retwarded) biases is pretty amusing.

Stay classy, JRanton (bwa ha ha ha ha)

Disgusting behaviour by low-life nothings. Also saw one overweight pig give Froome the 'stuff you' gesture. The slob that spat on hime should be charged!

The Nibali polemics show that Froome is stressed, tensed & jittery

Lol, no *** :D
The guy was spat at, had urine thrown at him, attacked left and right by fans, journalists, other riders every single day.
Try going through that for 3 weeks straight and not be stressed and tensed....
If he does hold on and wins the Tour, this one will be one for the ages.

Huh? He was given a free TdF by the second strongest team and second strongest rider.

That's pretty harsh on Froome fans. It was a while since he cheated to finish the Giro

Nibali and his team should count their blessings. They are lucky to be in the race at all. One more breach and will be sayonara Astana. Compared to what Froome is copping, his criticism of Nibali is nothing and what happened when Nibali attacked ? Contador, Quintana and Valverde did not move which says a lot about Nibali. If it was Contador who was attacked can you imagine the outcry from his fans ? It looks like a fitting climax. The two best riders fighting it out on the final mountain stage. This has been an entertaining race to watch. The best since 2010. But I get the feeling that Froome will be riding into more chaos than usual on the Alpe and I hope imbeciles don't spoil the spectacle. The ASO might be adding some extra police I think.

He's not my favorite rider, but I don't wish him to lose the Tour for foul play. I hope Barguil has bonked enough skybots off the road :p

He should win it now, but I hope Quintana makes him suffer for it, even if it's just a little bit.

Urine and spit look bad to us because we note such things, but Froome doesn't. He's got this fixation with his Watt meter. A miracle he didn't crash yet into a tree or car along the way, but it's going to happen one day.

And what is it that Froome is saying thats so wrong??
"the little Colombian" when that "little Colombian" has a name.

He didn't say 'thelittle colombian', I watched the interview, he said, 'a little Colombian', as in 'I would love to win but there's a certain little Colombian I have to beat.' It really isn't remotely disrespectful.

You could even argue that Froome was indirectly telling the journalists that "You'd have to be really stupid not to know who I'm talking about."

A post that surely proves the maxim that class is something that you have or you don't. . .

JRanton what? This post shows a huge lack of class on your part  I used to think you were a very sensible poster but these days you seem so bitter, I wonder what happened

Yep, Froome would have been wiser to keep schtum although I doubt ultimately it will make any difference to how Nibali rides today.
Nibbles hasn't put 2 good days together all year. if he follows his recent ways we have another few weeks before he has a good ride.

Ummm, that was an interesting acceleration to catch back NQ and AV.

Meaning?
Take whatever meaning you want out of it.

It was interesting on a few fronts, not the least of which would be that with the downhill a full gas bridge may not have been necessary. Or the speed it was closed down with suggests there won't be any sizable gaps for NQ in the finale.

Or you could say it was a funny looking acceleration!
