Nah, this is respect for Cuddles' opinion here
ah, come on Red Rick, you never suffered from excessive respect for froome. for sure it's better to see him not winning big races. ;)

I respect his ability. I don't root for him. But I don't really think this has much to do with that.

In pretty sure Evans spoke about the Alpe d' Huez stage, but just got it mixed up.
Regardless, its funny how many saw the great talent coming...
It's likely this stage, yes.

Cadel got confused with the stage. Ho hum. He always seemed to have a lot on his mind what with journalists stepping on his bike, his dog, his toes, even the bodyguard probably bothered him. But Cadel was too wary with the media while his old team mate Horner always had something interesting to say. Evans always wanted to be a team leader but with the media presence of a domestique. He seems much happier now.

you hit the nail. couldn't agree more. over the whole career Evans was trying to seem a calm and focused guy, but at the peak of pressure this mask vanished in a flash. :)

with the tour-vuelta double in mind, froome is probably come into this season even more smoothly. top 15 in catalunya top 10 in romandie wouldn't be so bad.

I am not sure he is even doing Romandie. If not, he is taking Tour - Vuelta double very seriously.

Sorry, wrong word to use, I meant excuses. I wasn't meaning any clinic stuff.

Looks like Froome wont be contending on the GC. 120th today. Had he GC aspirations, he would've been up there.
Hope he takes some 600 W pulls on the front though. :)

i'll settle for it too. finishing 130th doesn't necessarily say a lot as there no sprinter trains and the likelihood of split is far less than in the tour.

I think when Bouhanni is favourite for a sprint, the back - as far away from the action as possible - is probably the best place to be for GC riders.

He just thinks that there are many different interpretations for sprinting in a straight line.
