He won’t lose the Giro, at this point it’s debatable he will lose the Vuelta, though of course he deserves to.
Why be the jury of whether he deserves to lose the Vuelta or not?
We already have a jury to decide that.

We're just preparing you for this scenario so that you can have all your crying emoticons lined up and ready to post.
Right. You already have so much experience.
Must be sad for people around you seeing you crying when your Rider lost his. LMAO.
Looking forward to more whinging from you when Froome is exonerated. ROFL

We are all entitled to our opinions, some will be pleased and some will be unhappy no matter what decision is reached.

Let’s stop the bickering please you two, there is no point in getting banned over it.

Froome will lose the Vuelta if found guilty because the offence occurred during that event - Logically any other results will stand if found guilty because Froome is allowed to ride under the UCI rules.

This is not how it works, the ban (if it happens) could certainly be backdated and all results stripped, so it’s all still in the air, even if the rules allow him to ride.

This is gonna end up like it is with Contador. All the Contador fans believe he has 9 GT's whereas his haters/non likers go for 7, whilst Froome fans will go for 6 GT's and his haters go for 4 (depending on the outcome of the case). Then it's arguments and bickering forever and a day.

No, not this time. UCI had a talk with Giro organisers before and they were told Froome's results in the Giro will stand regardless of the Froome case stands or fails.

Only if he gets caught doing something in the Giro it's ofcourse something different. But the UCI promised the Giro organisers the results will stand of that race regardless of what happens with his Vuelta

The UCI can't make that promise and stated as much.

Since he didn't voluntarily suspend himself he doesn't get credit for time served and a ban can only be backdated if there were undue delays on the part of the UCI. It's not rocket science, pay attention people.

And if I was Lappartient I would about shut the f up, UCI is not a neutral party and the president giving a running commentary on a pending case that should never have been leaked in the first place screams *injunction*.

Yeah, Froome should sue his ass for the mental and emotional trauma caused by his big, fat mouth. :p

[mod hat on] Please, please, please, let's all remain courteous, agree to disagree.

[mod hat off] I agree with Hinault. And I posted it, got some flak for it, although it doesn't seem unreasonable to consider that a positive test should have meant "stay home until the matter gets resolved". and I bet that it would have been resolved by now.

My two pence...

Finding someone likeable is highly subjective as well as the reasoning for why. Take my mother and father like Armstrong and think he is a good guy, I don't anymore. I like Contador they don't.

Whether he should race or not that is out of our control. Same thing has happened to other riders to various degrees of riding or not riding. The issue is if he is banned and all the results get stripped that isn't fair to anyone involved because Froome being there changes the dynamics of a race. Who knows if second place would have won if he was not there.

If he does win the Tour that is good effort to him and hopefully everything doesn't go up in smoke.

He's just not a very likeable character, regardless of the clinic stuff.

He has shades of Lance.

Personality wise they have nothing in common.
yes, but froome and armstrong have lots in common people's assessment-wise. they both transformed into remarkable riders while they didn't supposedly have natural talent and genetics to implements such a leap. cycling fans nowadays nowdays like to cherry-pick who sort of is entitled to become a big champion who isn't. :p

Unless Lappartient himself turns out to be the leak, it's not his fault that he's getting asked questions about it all the bloody time, and he can't be seen to just "No Comment" whenever he is asked until it gets resolved, especially given how long it's taking to resolve.
