Wow. I've never been a big Nibali fan, but that's changing. The honnesty in that quote is something you rarely see! It's so easy for riders to criticize Froome. But if they were 34 and towards then end of their prime would they actually self suspend themselves?

I don't get the self suspension argument honestly.

From both the perspectives of being innocent and guilty I think you'd carry on racing. Maybe less so for the guilty one since you've actually done something wrong but then those type of people might just not care anyways. :lol:

Not really, there are lots of reason someone could be a fan of Bertie and Bala and not like Froome at all.

I too only knew Farah, Froome, and Hamilton. I don't follow (club) football, nor athletics and other minor sports (I guess some of the others practice that).

I follow football a lot, but still I quite do not know who Kane is, he is just noone in world football, and when I am not fan of premier league, it is logic that he is quite unknown to anyone else outside England
I also know only Hamilton, Froome and Konta

Not really, there are lots of reason someone could be a fan of Bertie and Bala and not like Froome at all.

pretty much this. though it's all down to a single root cause: froome mustn't have become a top tier gc rider the way he did, mustn't have won grand tours etc.
