As for the credibility of the UCI that train left the station a long time ago.

what credibility are you suggesting about? froome has always been a really bad guy. disgusting at his lighting-like transformation, atrocious both at beating contador and being defeated by contador, terrible at bike-handling and all-out racing, horrifying at how he looks at bike, stupid in his autobiography, ridiculous at having by far the strongest team at his disposal and so forth. no mercy is what anything relevant to froome came down to for years, even before he was caught. so froome being cleared is just another little stroke to despise him.

I'm not gonna speculate in corruption or whatever it is that you are implying, and I'm not gonna speculate in whether Froome was/is doping or not, partly because that kind of discussion is reserved for another part of the forum and partly because I don't know enough about the case because I don't follow stories about doping, but mostly because I don't really care. What matters to me is that I get to witness some entertaining cycling, and Froome is the most entertaining GC rider in the peloton.

The target on Froome's back just got infinitely bigger. He'll be particularly vulnerable on Alpe d'Huez and any other steep climb or wall, including the one in the ITT. Or any time he flats / crashes.

The French in particular hate his guts. Bring on the drama.

I actually think there is a growing respect for Froome amongst the public - including in France. Initial jealousy has turned into respect for many. I'm sure there will still be noisy pockets of bitter, disgruntled fans of other riders - who will make their presence known. But I don't think he will necessarily be targeted much more than in previous years. Somewhat ignorant, ill informed comments of people like Hinault will hopefully be ignored. Especially now that Froome has been fully exonerated.

Too bad that in years to come when ever there´s to about him they will mention his victories but also this case. Nevertheless I think he is gonna win the TDF easily.

My comments:
- I am happy that he is racing so there are no excuses for the winner.
- I think the UCI went too far in this case by not releasing the results earlier. Could have done it right after the Giro if they wanted.
- Froome is still at risk. The harassment is going to be very high IMHO. But hope nothing bad happens.

One week until the TTT! Really looking forward to it.
It's a beautiful thing when a domestique that may never
have a chance otherwise gets a Grand Tour stage win
on his palmares...or perhaps a future champ gets his
first taste of glory. Hopefully next Monday we will see
how Froomey has recovered from his epic win in Italy.

Of course the TTT comes much too early in the race to
really give an true indication of what may transpire in
the third week, but none the less, it promises to be a
very, very interesting day at the races.

While I agree that the UCI is a poor governing body (much like others), you better get your "proof" ready because the dissertation/thesis committee is making its rounds! :lol:
