It would be like an old western movie. A tyrant has taken over the old township. There is no hope of beating him. But there's an old gunslinger, written off by everyone. He comes into town for one last job. (Basically the plot of Unforgiven)
Scene: Froomey in the start area looks around and says 'Who's the fella owns this shithole'. And then the sheriff/town ruler/Tadej yells 'You be Christopher Froomey out of Kenya, killer of pet bunnies and bilharzias.'

oh well, that would be problematic, as he kind of mopped up Contador
Im gonna do what all Federer fans say and claim no wins over Contador count after he turned 30 cause he as clearly washed by then, and any win of Contadors after that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that peak Contador>>peak Froome

You cannot beat tennis fans at the mental gymnastics

If there is a battle would be historic...It would be difficult to see Froome at his old level, but It nice so dream with and I just to see him in other kind of races and another role or at least another way to race. if he is fighting for any GC it would be quite meritable.

Taxus, mate, you're so....loyal to your own cause, not to mention incredible.

And of course you and everyone else know Froome doesn't yo-yo, he just makes everyone else yo-yo.

In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein determined that time is relative—in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference. Just as observers in two different frames of reference don't always agree on how to describe the motion of a bouncing ball ...

Chris Froome will open his season's racing this Tuesday at the five-stage Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.
Will he improve on his 43rd-place finish with Barloworld in 2009?
The stage profiles appear particularly hilly/mountainous which will be a real test.
His team ISN I recall reported he was not tired after stages of the 2021 TdF, but was not competing.
Maybe Chris can cycle forever one-paced, but has no intensity when the climbs come.
There will be no hiding here and if we see him struggling again I think even his most hopeful fanboys can sadly write him off for good.

Chris kicks off his season today at the hilly five-stage Coppi e Bartali.
However, he is not even the designated team leader and on Israel Premier Tech's twitter page he is slated to act as domestique to Mason Hollyman.
One wonders if Chris will even be effective in that role?
