It would be epic if Froomey could perform high-RPM attacks again. He would have to be stronger cause the competition is stronger: these Slovenian guys are decent in the mountains and even can TT a bit.
The best Froome destroy Roglic in a hard mountains stage. Pogacar in another level, but anyway he said his weakness and the same Vingegard put him in problems in that kind of stages, Froome would have done it

Yeah, the Froome thread has become really popular again. It‘s a new Froome hype…

I somehow could imagine Froome will win his magic fifth TdF soon, and he will possibly be even stronger than he was when he won Tours #1 till #4… :)
Maybe, he has now more experience...I think he should start aiming buch sprints. He has to give an step ahead with this momentum.:)

How about, not soon enough?

that's why I want him to keep riding on and on, whatever happens, whatever results he might have. for spite, just because. enjoy those alleged 5 millions Froomey!
ppl react like they're paying his wages out of their own pockets
Sylvain Adams and his family are worth 1.5 billions dollars (5 times Gerry Ryan, Greenedge backer). the -alleged- 5 millions are nothing for them.

The personal detriment certain posters project onto CF’s salary is alarming.

2014 Vuelta, if I recall correctly, had them producing peak power on climbs and Contador won. Contador has a harder time nailing his peak and getting everything just right, and his team was never as good. You line them up 10 times and I think they go about 5 and 5 for those reasons.

Another solid ride today. He will obviously have hoped to hang on until the end but he was close enough to think he is genuinely progressing. I'm very curious about how he TT's tomorrow. I imagine he might be tempted not to empty what tank he does have left ahead of the weekends tests, but if he's trying to ride to a more serious placing over the week he probably needs to give this a good effort.

Clearly improving.
Would be cool to decide to ride for the dots at the Tour. Actually riding for something may accelerate the improvement he's aiming at.
Step in the right direction, imo. Towards the Yellow quality of 2015.

He landed a massive blow on the cobbled stage. I doubt he would’ve won in the mountains though. At Dauphine he was a step below and prob would’ve been at TDF too.
You can only beat what's in front of you and those two were behind him. Any way it's an old tired debate and I don't want to add any more to this thread because it's irrelevant.
