Well I'll respect those who actually trated him, in that they are already successful and i nthe field not aligned to it lol, so not sure there's a reason for them to make light of Froome's recovery prospects, they still work in that field so I'm sure having respect is more important than a few seconds and sentences said in the minority sport of pro cycling nobody is listening in on anyway other than a few cycling fans.

Brailsford wanted to keep Froome, but Adams made the better and longer renewal contract for him to be leader, Braislford saw the future more with Bernal. I'm sure in the line of business Adams is, he lost plenty of speculations too, he can only go by the medical exports and what they said as did Brailsford, in the ned Froome accepted the better offer, that is cycling, it doesn't always work out though, look at Quintana or Gadu. Complete teams behind them, but failing.
Didn't know Brailsford wanted to keep him. Froome should have bit his hand off, good chance his results would have been better, well they were in Vuelta 2020 than anything since ...

Guarantee at some point in the next few years a team is going to take it too far and bring along a specialist bike change pusher and sh*t is going to hit the fan.

You think Froome's gonna have that role? TBF, he has practiced his running.

Chris is a natural-born bike change pusher

Surely, the thing that would cause you to lose your mental edge would be if you stopped having coffee.

Not if you have it with friends on training rides, like Contador used to have. I remember Froome being very specific about how he motivated himself, thinking about Contador drinking coffee and enjoying himself instead of being on his bike. While Froome of course was always training, always being professional, not having fun.

Not having fun seems like the perfect recipe to lose your mental edge.

I think we saw a great TdF until now, but I‘d have loved seeing Chris in these elite lead groups in the Alps, next to Vingegaard & Co..

We mustn’t speak about GC victory, but after a promising TdF of 2022, the Top-10 on final GC of 2023 Tour would absolutely have been possible.

It‘s about taking small steps: fight for Top-25 in 2022 TdF, for Top-10 in 2023. 2024, it will all be about the podium, before 2025 should be the year of the run for #5.

I expect a very fresh Froome in July of 2024, and can‘t wait to see him back at the Tour. The race it‘s all about, for him…
