That's not true. See the result below, from late May. While not earth-shatteringly good, it's certainly nowhere near as bad as the level he displayed in the Czech Tour, which was just a disgrace for any Worldtour pro, let alone a four time TDF winner.

Yeah, I also noticed that Froome nowadays does exceptionally well in this „Mercan‘Tour“ race in June… This race seems to suit him very well.

(Maybe this will be the race where he‘ll take his first victory, since 2018…)

Froome ahead of Zimmermann who dropped Pogačar on Col de la Loze. Froome>Pogačar

I'm sure there'll be plenty of new posts in this thread during the race anyway.
Yeah, the Froome thread is popular.

Probably because he „created“ a situation which cannot be witnessed too often: a (four time) TdF winner who declined to finishing hilly 2.1 races in the grupetto.

Most champions wouldn‘t have the passion needed. Most of them only accept to retire as champions…

I thought he already rode the Tour of Kenya earlier in the year?

I think you're getting Kenya and Rwanda mixed up. Here's a quick cycling guide to East African countries

Kenya - where Chris Froome was born
Rwanda - where the 2025 world championships will take place
Eritrea - where Biniam Girmay comes from

According to PCS, Froome's contract is up this year, and going from Adams comments, he'll have a hard time getting it renewed.
I think that's just the renewal date, he still has two years left on the overall contract Adams signed. He said it himself on The Move recently he's got two years on the contract still and plans to see it out.

Although Adams says Froome is fully recovered from his crash, he also has no answer as to why he hasn't performed. The Canadian-Israeli team owner appears to be losing patience with the four-time Tour de France winner.
Adams also reiterated that he will hold to the contract that allows Froome to remain with the team through 2025.
As Froome said on The Move then. Makes sense, the contract is binding and Adams signed Froome through 2025. The renewal is just to renegotiate whatever terms they agreed would be reviewed in 2023 I guess?

It's not really funny. Adams wants to let the needy neo pro's in to IPT.
The more he gives away to Dawg the less bugdet for them.
Froome continuing = bad for cycling in the medium term.
:(

Equipment issues again impeding to show a result.

It once again proves that one could have the ultimate bike, the best brakes, the last 1x drivetrain, the tightiest face sock or the lightest wheels, but the most prevailing equipament a rider has on the road are his legs.
don't forget the balls.

Bauhaus to finish ahead of Froome on the mountain stages.

Looking at the race profile there does not seem to be any proper mountain stages. It's probably an ideal route for Froome.
