Yates is retired so here is a chance for Froomey to shine. Will he accept superdom/co-leader role for the Tour or will he wait a bit longer for a team totally dedicated to him during the epic battle for #5 vs Pogi?

This is the first year in cycling history with two candidates to win a fifth Tour de France.
That's one for Mental and random cycling statistics.

I was gonna argue that it requires Froome to get a contract, but I realized that even if he doesn't, it kinda still holds. Because there has never before in history been more than one rider at four wins. That's a bit of a fascinating stat. Everyone else who has managed four wins have moved on to get five without anyone else reaching four in the meantime.
