Happy to see Ciccone winning, he has been so unlucky lately.

Christen played it badly, Del Toro is faster than him and he made a big effort coming to the front duo so he should have followed instead of keep pushing it.

Uijtdebroeks back into a decent shape and nice to see Bisiaux up there too.

Del Toro wasnt gonne beat Ciccone that was obvious how he was at the end. You think that was a winning situation? Del Toro communicated he was empty, CIccone woulda gapped him clearly considering how Torito feelt.

Grande win for Ciccone. 2 at Liege 1. in Sebastian, I like that after his misshaps in the Giro.
2v1 and almost at the top of the last climb is a very good situation. Ciccone wouldn’t have known Del Toro was that empty, so so if the two UAE guys had sat on him and rolled attacks on the flat there’s a good chance they win. As it was Christen attacked after having just bridged, which was never going to work, and in doing so exposed Del Toro and gave Ciccone a launchpad to go on and win.

Third in Lombardia to Pogacar and Evenepoel, second in Liège to Evenepoel, and the win in San Sebastian, all in the same year. Ciccone is probably the best non-alien when it comes to climby classics right now.
Climby Italian Pedersen. Even races for Lidl Trek too

To be fair, they didn't film them from the front after the climb. It was quite fair for everyone there.

It didn't look like a problem in the city, true. Still, I've rarely seen them go so close as they did here. The motorbikes do have a role to play in terms of keeping spectators away, but the 2 second rule would still be fine.

Very surprising and Impressive ride from Powless. Perhaps he is successor to Mollema in always showing well here regardless of performance level in other races.
