Oh could be, couldn't watch most of it because of exams. But still his form couldn't have been that bad if he still finished 8th in the Giro and Vuelta.

He got into the Laquilla break which got him 13 minutes.

Richie Porte was in the same break and beat him overall and Kiserlowski almost did.

After the break he was the big favourite but he still couldnt put it together. He lost a minute at the first checkpoint on Kronplatz. The only stage he was even seen was Mortirolo where he climbed over the top with Vino, then got caught by Arroyo on the descent.

This is the only race where he featured last year. And that one really came out of nowhere.

As for Andy Schleck: has he ever finished this race? He always starts it, that's true.

but last year he did the Tour, not now.. Let's see about Schleck, but I doubt he'll do good

A race nobody needs!
Didn't you say Tony Martin would top 10 Liège-Bastogne-Liège? Surely he could therefore have a chance here?

I love the Clásica San Sebastián. It's always unpredictable because of the fatigue factor post-Tour. So many surprise winners, makes it hard to predict, and that makes it intriguing.

Didn't he crash and suffer all through the Giro? I remember Tondo actually being stronger than him.
Correct, Sastre crashed in every road stage from Amsterdam to Montalcino and was dropped to Monte Terminillo. He was only a middling contender afterwards, while Tondó was on antibiotics and also hit the wall after 2 weeks, perhaps unsurprising when he'd never finished a GT before (he similarly crashed and injured himself in Liège in the 2009 Vuelta and retired on stage 13).

But a race that so many love to watch while eating tapas and drinking cool wine in a Pintxos bar. Go Chavanel
Don't forget the Txotx!

I'm going to be a homer and go with Hesjedal ftw! Even though he'll probably just get a top 10 finish again. But He's done well here and looked better as the TdF went into it's third week.:)

Is he punchy enough?

Sylvian Chavanel for the win.

+1! That would be great. Since he was very diappointed with his Tour, for obvious reasons, he certainly will try something!

He's surprisingly punchy for a tall lanky fellow. Again though, he'll probably be a top 10 guy again here. I can hope though ftw!

Punchy enough to almost make it on the same finish photo on an uphill sprint with Gilbert.

So yeah, he's quite punchy.

That would be Amstel Gold Race 2010?

Forecast looks good for tomorrow, so we shouldn't see the Schlecks crash out on a wet Jaizkibel descent this year...

I'll be on the mountain with the orange lot. I took my MTB last year and managed to see it from four places :)

I think there will be a group of about 8 coming to the finish. Gilbert, Sanchez, and Velits to be the fastest of the group. Don't know what the order will be...

Hiding a positive test?

Just hiding probably. So that's it for Andy this season apart from his jolly to America. He really needs to give himself a shake if he wants to achieve what his talent deserves. Unfortunately, I see no sign of that. He really does need someone to put a rocket up his a***.

Honestly i can't see anyone but Gilbert winning this. Maybe Samu makes a winner move in Jaizkibel, i wish it.
