JROD and Cunego could actually compete in the sprint if they are there in the end but thats if they make the front group.

Just hiding probably. So that's it for Andy this season apart from his jolly to America. He really needs to give himself a shake if he wants to achieve what his talent deserves. Unfortunately, I see no sign of that. He really does need someone to put a rocket up his a***.

I think GVA is a real good shot for this. I expect him to surprise. JROD will attack as well, i just don't know how long he can hold the lead on the flats. I think Chavanel will be the last person in the break to be caught/ Pineau. Then the other one shall launch an attack.

Sammy will be a threat to Gilbert in the sprint ( along with Hesjedal ). Gilbert has a strong team though.

Costa could certainly do this on form.

Erviti won the similar Vuelta a La Rioja, against a weaker field, earlier this year.

Lastras is on pretty good form and podiumed Lombardia last year.

Most likely is David López, he's a Basque (from Barakaldo), enjoying his best season in a while.
