Thanks!! I had the top pic hanging on the wall in my bedroom!! I loved his style.

You're welcome. I was a fan of his, he always looked like he was born to ride a bike. I liked the RMO kit too. It is probably why I don't mind the current AG2R kit, somewhat similar in design.

Is this Lucien Van Impe? 1976 Tour winner.
The Eagle of Toledo threw me.

Me too. I think the Eagle of Toledo reference was for the Bahamontes photo in the post above his.

Thanks for posting the cool pics. I was not familiar with Federico Bahamontes,
The Eagle of Toledo. I didn't know he won 6 KOM jerseys in The Tour.

Wasn't he also one of the worst descenders ever? I read that he crashed into a cactus descending once... after that he would often wait at the top of a climb for the rest of the break to catch up so he didn't have to descend alone. Once... he stopped for a few minutes and ate some ice cream while waiting.

Can you imagine someone doing that now? That guy would instantly become my favorite rider.

That's funny! I didn't know he was a poor descender.
