i have been talking to my sister who is a veterinarian and is studying medicine atm and she says that he prolly has that because the muscle on his leg is so developed that pushed his veins closer to the skin and since those veins need to move much more blood then a normal person due to cycling they become much large then they should be.

its almost Varicose veins like some1 said on another thread but not really like Varicose veins.

Any idea who won, by any chance?

Winner is Kevin de Weert. Him and Wim de Vocht owned just about all the races in and around Antwerp at that time.

The other young'n isn't Vandenbroeck, by the way. It's Kevin Vanspeybroeck.

I have a similar issue in my leg. It is def varicose. I sent Hincapie's people an email asking for advice. They say he wears compression tights always when he is not on the bike.
