Trust me, they are. Take a modafinil. It makes you a different person.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm far from an expert on anything, but I guess I'm trying to say that I doubt there is anything specific to, say epo, that would make someone reach for the blow.

Again, I'm guessing, but I think there are a lot more factors at play.

I've read before that cycling releases endorphines that simulate the experience of being high. And as someone who has experience both in intense training and, uh, being high, it really makes sense.

I'm far removed from training 600 km per week, but I remember feeling withdrawls when I took a day off the bike.

Is cycling a gateway drug?

Yes, cycling is a gateway drug!

Seriously, (well I guess not too seriously) the kind of hopped up screwballs who are drawn to riding a bicycle 30,000 kilometers a year are oftentimes the same kind of people who like to injest these substances. What can you say?

I agree that it's not specific to epo but what healthy person would take this kind of crap in the first place?

Let me ask you a question. How did people look at you (those who didn't know you) when you casually explained that you ride a bicycle 50 to 100 miles a couple of times a week, in addition to your shorter rides of 30 miles? Answer, they looked at you like you're nuts.

It is not nice to make fun of Klinger. He is a really sick individual.

Not made up sick like Tyler H. I mean off the deep end kind of sick.

All it takes is for me to take one long hard look at that tatoo....

judging someone for judging, I guess...

I don't appreciate being called a jerk. But I will leave it at that as I do have respect for you as a poster and I do enjoy your contributions to the forum.

I propose a 12-step program for cyclists.

Step 1: My name is the delgados, and I am a cyclist...
