this is a good news.
now colombia es passion has to reinforce the team.
i hope they will be invited to ToC: if the mountain top finish is hard as expected they have the chance to show their skills in climbung.

other good news is that acqua e sapone has been accepted too.
so betancur ( and sarmiento) will have the chance to partecipate in races of the world calendar.

in europe , the problem for betancur and sarmiento is that they will not know to which races they will be invited , so it will be difficult to plan a peak.

same thing for fabio duarte with geox...

but good news is that there is plenty of colombian talent in the world tour ( soler has already announced that he has fully recovered from his knee trouble, rigo uran has a great chance with sky) : i hope the times of lucho are coming back...

The roster for Cafe de Colombia has to improve. What they have now is not good enough IMHO. I don't know how much can they do now at this point when most of the talented riders already have a contract for 2011 (??).

We'll see how those youngsters will ride next year.:)

Many of the Colombian teams have recruited and changed riders during the season; I would assume they may need to do this again.

I have also read somewhere that there has been an agreement between some of the Colombian teams that should they get invites to major races like Grand Tours, then they will avail their riders to be guests for CEP. This could lead to the normal CEP roster competing in Colombia and in smaller races like the Vuelta a Asturias, but a strong mixed Colombian team competing in races like La Vuelta and A Volta (oh please please please)

I hope they'll ride some european big races, maybe Dauphine, as the most mountainous week-long tour... Colombian team could be something special there

I;m sure they will extend their program majorly in europe now that they have pct license. vuelta espana I'm sure they are going to be invited for it.

other great news. orgullo paisa manager santiago botero today announced that his team has already been accepted in a number of spanish races for this year such as vuelta asturias and cinturon mallorca. also he said they will soon announce a spanish rider to be roadcaptain and major helper for henao in europe who has won many races in europe... when asked if it iwas mancebo botero said I can't say anything yet.

mancebo seems not to be the case I think as he has signed with realcyclist. but who knows

I think not. colombian teams usually aren't friends and this is a major problem. big politics and very much regional chauvinism. although it's getting les.s new generations need to step up and look farther then from which state a rider is to accept him

Does it mean Sevilla is not anymore in the roster?

Eze is free to ride wherever he pleases at present. Whether race organisers will want him is another matter.

AT present we are in the off season. Whether he can ride at present is of minor importance.

What is of major f******g importance is whether he can ride next year.

A lot of people dont include Eze as one of Vacansaleils stars for next year because they assume hell be banned. In fact they dont even give him the points.

But Oscar failed for the same drug no?

So will Sevilla be able to ride next year. Will eze be able to ride next year?

they will both be able to ride next year as they haven't been caught on using an illegal substance via illegal way. they looked for it and foudn epo with david garcia but nothing with mosquera and sevilla

when is asturias being done?? probably during trentino?? cafe colombia cna only put out one squad the rest rides in colombia during the year. they are also trying to get wildcards for dauphinee, catalunya and vuelta

Nah, Asturias is later, 27 April to 1 May. So it's clashing with Turkey. Trentino is done before the end of Ardennes Week (hence Vino being able to win Trentino and LBL) while Asturias has often recently suffered from relatively weak fields due to big Spanish teams and riders taking a break after the Ardennes.

Wasn't there going to be a sort of merger of some teams to ride the Vuelta? Or did someone just suggest that might happen.

Considering the Giro parcours compared to the Vuelta, it'd probably be more interesting to see them there, but lets just hope they get one of these wildcards.
