Marty McDonald who commentates the women's races has excellent rider id, although, the women's peleton is a bit smaller.

Adam Blythe, who is always a jolly chap, does not seem to be switched on today at the Dauphine. Rob Hatch cued him up to talk about altitude camps. He talked about white blood cells. Rob Hatch cued him up to talk about altitude hotels / oxygen chambers. He talked about buying a hotel on the top of a mountain. He doesn't really seem to be following.

He was asked about Bora strengthening their squad next year as Red Bull, and went on about yellow socks.

Can someone please look me into the eyes, and explain why the Giro Next Gen - an Italian race - only has French commentary available on D+?

hard to do a good job when in the coverage of the final, half of the final 500 metres was blocked by trees.

Except completely missing that the Bingoal rider winning today was Alexander Salby, she did okay I think. I don't need the commentator to waffle on about all sorts of things for hours in a flat race with nothing happening for tens of kilometres. Not that I watched all of it though, but some long pauses without commentary was kinda nice. I didn't mind Smith not being there today. Considering Been and Smith don't really gel anyway, I can do without them being awkward for 60km of breakaway chasing.

Well certainly for english comms they seem to be struggling for numbers at the moment with the amount solo, so I guess they don't have enough and don't feel it worth it. You'd have thought they'd at least have an it in Italian!

No swedish commentary for Tour de Suisse has meant having to listen to the english commentators. They never shut up and just let the pictures do the talking do they?

Kirby is asserting that Almeida will win with the certainty that he would say Indurain will win if tomorrow was a flat TT in the 90s. He seems to simultaneously consider Adam Yates unable to time trial and Almeida to be one of the greats against the clock whilst never looking at the profile.

Does anyone know who's doing the Tour for the english Eurosport? From what I've gathered from watching the Gruppeto and twitter (X), Matt Stephens will be on the motor in the 2nd week, while Blythe will do the 3rd week. Hatch returns as does Kelly. Dani Rowe will also join (never heard of her before). No mention of Kirby, Smith, Lloyd or McEwen.
