Wait so after months of advertising the Tour d'Azerbaïdjan, Eurosport don't even show it live?!

I think most of us made a concerted effort not to watch because of that stupidly annoying advert with what sounded like a vuvuzela

Yes, I was part of the mute button movement. I hope the terrible field also influenced their decision.

Found a little problem with (one of) the Danish guys:
Constantly referring to the Henaos as 'brothers'.
Sure, I know it's nothing major, he's at least able to identify them correctly, but it's just a quick googling to find out that they aren't actually brothers.

Cycling News, who do not have the excuse of live improvisation, has frequently reported the exploits of the "Jense Van Rensburg brothers".

Has anyone also noticed he is obliged to use the word "exponentially" and the phrase "I'll be bound" in every broadcast. So full of himself it is nauseating. Smith and Harmon are far better

For those who turned in on cyclinghub.tv's broadcast of Tour de Romandie, I think it goes to show what a legend Kirby really is when watching Yorkshire afterwards.

He lack some knowledge and he has weird obsessions, but he is funny and he sure as heck is in to it. I enjoy it every time I watch British Eurosport, I really do.

Sorry, but compared to Duffield, Smeets, Migels, Wuyts, D'Hoore and even Phil & Paul in their golden years he's just an annoying goof for me.

You don't have to apologise, its one of the only english commentators that I have seen multiple times and I somehow enjoy him!

I mean what is the context for him saying that live on air? I just saw someone tweet about it

She did an interview with Kittel, whose birthday it is today. Kittel said he would like an easy stage with a sprint but didn't think it would be. When the interview was over Kelly said Laura would be surprised by the answer, I would have asked for a kiss.

I think a general rule for sport pundits is that they're terrible, but Eurosport is a whole different level, Kirby know cycling about as well I know Nuclear Physics and I think that their only half-good pundits are Lloyd, Matt Stephens and Rob Hatch, but then Rob Hatch throws it all away by pronouncing every European name in its native accent, what's that all about? You don't see him saying Simon Gerrans or Richie Porte in an Aussie accent or Ian Boswell in an American one, so why for the Europeans? Eurosport need to get their act together or I might just have to watch dodgy Sporza live streams with Basque commentators that I don't even understand for the rest of my life!

Strangely enough nearly all commentators at Eurosport Deutschland are true experts and passionists of their sport. No matter if it's cycling (Migels, Leclercq), tennis (Stach, Hagemann, Fassnacht) or winter sports (Thiele, Heinrich, Siegmund etc.), Moto GP (Ringguth). It's always a pleasure to watch footage on Eurosport compared to other networks.

Kelly is still pretty knowledgable. I mean, he is a legend of the sport, let's not forget that. Hatch is decent. I like it when he attempts to pronounce the names right, and at least he's not shouting 'Mod-OOOOOOO-lo' anymore. Her starting to get them right.

Just watched stage 2 of the Tour of California (Eurosport English), pretty much everything coming out of their mouths was snarky and sarcastic.

Which is fine if that's how you view the race, but some people actual care about it as it's the biggest stage race in their continent.

You can switch to NBC which is even worse with one dopehead and two supporters (still) for Lance Armstrong is just constantly talking rubbish all the time. Horrible!!
