It is the viewer's responsibility to watch sport live, out of respect.
Ive not seen it yet, so dont know who the commentator was, but back in the Eurosport days it was common practice for them to do the voice over on highlight reels as it aired live, so they were never pre-recorded packages, the pictures were put together obviously in advance, but the first airing of the highlights was essentially commentated "as live". which did of course throw up the odd mistake.
No, these are packages providing a one-hour summary of the season, with a single voicetrack. Not the highlights typically made available a couple of hours after the event.I thought highlights just used the original commentating, the one that was being done as the race was airing...
But when there is no time pressure element to do so, the only reason for not having a prepared script and opportunity for edited voice over with re-takes where necessary is to produce it as quickly and cheaply as possible. ie to have minimal respect for viewers.

Lots of the women's racing "highlights"are just a full replay of the last 20mins anyway as no one could ever find a gap to edit Marty together seamlessly 🤣
They'll probably spin it out to DAZN or something.
Deal would take 12 to 18 months to complete, if approved by regulators.

Most likely a done deal with presidential support. Now Paramount is bidding even more billions...to take "everything" which would include sports
I cancelled my Discovery+ sub in September after my half price deal ran out, and tried the VPN option. It was fine to be honest - I managed to watch everything I wanted. Rest of the Vuelta on SBS (Australia), Canadian races on Youtube and Italian Classics on RAI. It was a bit of a faff though, and I will be honest that I'm considering re-subscribing to Discovery March to October.Anyone found an alternative method to forking out the full amount yet? Going to look around and see if there are any viable VPN-use alternatives, but I have an EE contract and there is an option to add-on Discovery+ for £20, not good not terrible.
Yikes, how does the Paramount deal not violate anti-trust laws? I guess I should remember how laws are more flexible depending upon the amount of money changing hands.
HBO MAX as well from March in UK, price increase I guess.Terrible news: TNT out bid the BBC for the commonwealth games coverage. what a disaster. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5yj9pnl5n4o
