Anyone else notice his scooting back every couple of seconds on his TT bike?
Seems like he rides on a solid carbon seat that has no grip.
He slides forward on his seat and then pops back every couple seconds, he never used to do this on previous TT set ups?
I think he is going to suck in longer TT's from losing power because he is constantly pushing himself back on his seat.

This is quite common from what I've seen in TTs.

It is part of the Contador/Armstrong battle. Flick of the hand sandbagging.
They both do it. Alberto is learning from Lance..... this race means nothing to Alberto.

Watch Alberto rip it up on the big climb in the Dauphine. It will be scary fast!

I don't see any rear brakes

Is that normal?

And I do not see a cable connected to the front brake yikes

I think the rear brake is tucked aero near the motorized crankset...

I'm yet to see the stage, and I've only read the opening post of this topic, so apologies if I'm horribly wide of the mark :D

But I'm going to assume the predictable thing happened. A guy who has always been amazingly good in short time trials and has the best acceleration out of corners of almost any pro, wins a short, extremely technical and twisty prologue, while testing a new bike that's made precisely to accelerate well out of corners, then doesn't do nearly as well in a very long TT where he's always been much worse.

Cannot stand the salute or the logo. It really is very off putting.

Then move on to the Liquigas boys

Terrible form from AC so close to July...Doesn't look good for him this year with a weak team and withou bruyneel at the wheel. Its an almost certain victory for lance at the tour.

Oh come on, surely you can do a lot better job trolling than that! You're not even trying.

Go on, go back to bed, think about it a little and come back with some better, less obvious, bait

Go on then. Good boy.

^ head in the sand stuff if you think contador will win the our without bruyneel. I get the feeling the radioshack boys have their hands on some new supplements.

Better. But still too obvious. Tell ya what, sleep on it, then come back.
Check some self-help books. Surely there has to be a "Trolling for dummies" out there. Be proactive! You can do this. We believe in you sport! :)

I think it is disrespectful to the race organizers to tell the world you are using the race for training for the TDF as AC did today.

it's really funny armstrong comes 5th in a diluted field, it's touted as a super show, berto comes 6th in a strong company of specialists - it's a failure..

I think Armstrong's performance was rated "solid" for a rider who has been off form all season and is past his best. No one said it was a super showing.

AC, however, is the best rider in the world. When he loses 2 minutes in a TT people take notice.

Maybe the new Specialized TT bike is the motorless version. ;)

Time to take a few months break from the CN forums again.......

Seriously? Riders use other races as training for their primary races all the time. The Dauphiné or TdS are routinely used by pretty much every contender as training for the Tour just as the Vuelta is used as training for the WC. Out of curiosity, how do you feel about riders who use the Giro as training for the Tour?

I called him the best rider in the world? What more do you want?

Contador's fans are very thin skinned. They wouldn't last very long if they were fans of Armstrong.

People just jump into funny speculations, just for the heck of it....
just relax fellows, he's just fine:)
AC is doing what is best for his performance & polishing details ahead to July 3rd. he won the prologue-remember?-so the fitness is there-and when he said today he couldn't find his rhythm-it means he has good legs, but didn't force himself to do an unnecessary effort...
for someone who has openly claimed to do the race as a tune-up, & gets to win the prologue & finish 4th in a long ITT..........he's just fine:)

now tomorrow is another matter going uphill....

Not at all. It's the flurry of new posters coming here before the Tour.

There is so much more to cycling than just the Tour, sadly most of the rabid LA fans have never heard of them, as you just proved. ;)

No, no concerns at all. It's all part of the plan. See last year's Dauphine.

Of course it is:rolleyes:. He lost time to Brackjovic who in comparison to some of the others who he will be against will be better than him. His peformances on flat long tt's have proved that he will lose a lot of time in the bordeaux time trial.

Did dertie dopador have allergy problems today?

The wind proves again to be kryptonite for him.

Please remove the wind from the myth category in the myths vs facts thread.

Man, Lance's mom is quick at creating new logins. I'm thinking she must have some sort of bot.
