He did, defending somebodies lead when they are ahead and marking attacks is helping. He did work for him on the early slopes of the climb. Any way how can he help him if AC goes against team tatics and rides away without any orders. It seems to be all about him.

Someone obviously can't forget Valverde & Contador coalition during Dauphiné Libéré 2009

As I said, the only help he got is in the form of no attacks.

Attacks !!? What attacks ?!! That old fart can only attack an 80-year-old woman in invalid chairs

P.S. Shoo shoo fanboys see you all next year !?! The whole world is already scared to death ( and especially Alberto Contador ) because almighty Captain Livestrong America build his own Radio Shrek cycling team and they want to strike back !!!

Think his loyalties are well established. His twithead ramblings.

"Without the respect & sympathy of the peloton, not even a brilliant climber like Contador will be able to continue winning grand tours."

"Maybe Contador, the winner of 4 grand tours, thinks he has the right to make rash comments about LA. But he'll lose the peloton's sympathy."

Wow, full on media spin goes to work making AC look like he was in the wrong by winning the TdF 2009.

Asshats.

Farking LOL.

I am now getting to the stage that i cant wait to see this whole LA 3.0 circus derailed. The corporations, the media manipulation, the paper thin "nice guy" facade that Joe Average laps up and the whole PR machine and Celebrity cool thing that goes with it.

Armstrong is a Bona Fide farkwit. An excellent athlete, but a *** of a human being.....Oh, hang on, he's doing it for cancer, thats right :)

Cycling is a team sport. A bit of recognition would be nice from Alberto even if he doesan't like lance. Alberto will come off 2nd best in the end. I guarantee it. I think class ids the wrong word to use on my behalf. I meant that he handles himself better in the media and is a more mature pesrson

I think all the Astanas were pleased with the way Contador pulled them up in the hilly part of the TTT, the part of the stage that they made the gap that gave them the stage victory. There were statements about this. And also a bit of recognition is that Lance owes about the way Alberto raced in Mont Ventoux, securing his 3rd position after all.
It's true though that Lance handles better the media. But for his own sake, not for the team's one. He tried to play mind-games, but Contador is no Ullrich, or Beloki and he should have known that after a long absence is quite natural that someone else is stronger than him.

Iam sure those who rode like teammates got their recognition. Why do you think that the ones on the team who acted like pure jerks deserve to be recognised with all the unecessary pressure they put on their own teammate? Bruyneel the Flip Floper is the cause of the whole mess. He is the one who needs to apoligise to AC. I guess his nose is too Far up Lance's *** to realise that

I am not sure that AC is very thankful to Popo or Haimar for pulling in front with the Columbia's train in the st.3's split. Although he knows that they were following orders.

answer the question

the fact is the only work he did was to save his skin. He did nothing for AC. Actually AC saved his **** for the podium finish. Had AC decided to work with the schlecks to put more time after Kloden bonked. dont you think Lance would be off the podium?

When did AC work with the SChlecks. Frank drove on the front for Andy. AC just sat on the wheel and attacked. This is the magical question: When AC attacks randomly how can lance work for him other than cover moves?

He knows who the real jerks are. they are the three clowns who betrayed him Bruyneel Levi and Lance. AC is not stupid if he was Bruyneels plan would have worked and Lance would have his 8th title. Thats what is eating them up inside. See how fast they announce their Radioshack outfit when they realise AC locked Lance out of the top spot.

You dont get the point. I made the statement had he worked with the schlecks when Kloden bonked Lance would be off the podium. He sat on their wheel to the finish. Lance was not covering any attacks on that stage. How come Kloden responded and he could not. He was smart and knew if he responded right away he would blow up like Kloden. He did it to save his skin not to cover any attack.

If the attacks were random the question might have some validity. But the only attack by Contador that didn't put time into every other GC contender was Stage 17's dig, and you can't blame Alberto for Frank Scheck having the form of his life. If Arcalis and Verbier were 'random' attacks I'd hate to see the damage Contador could do with some 'precise' attacks.

That doesn't make LA selfish. He's riding smart. I am not a big fan of LA but in this situation that LAnce is right and AC is very elfish and not grateful

lol man u are admitting to me because of AC random attacks Lance could not work for him and cover his moves. The answer is because he just did not have what it takes to cover the moves. How about responding and gluing to the schlecks wheel when they responded to AC's attacks. That way Lance would have a free ride and provide support for AC. Now it is clear that you have admitted that lance could not and did not help AC
