i'm more of a contador fan girl than ever after stage 19 and seeing how gracious he is in defeat.

the only reason i'd hope he doesn't race in the giro next year is to win another TdF. but i do hope he changes his mind about racing in the giro. i can see why winning them in one year is maybe too much to ask. but please race the giro again, alberto!

Polish, I like you and I'm glad we're forum friends, so I hope you won't take it amiss when I tell you that your post here is idiotic. I mean, get a grip.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Contador's apparent decision about the Giro as time goes by. It'll also be interesting to see what happens with the Giro after the departure of Zomegnan.

75% of his posts are. Where have you been? His bias is rarely supported by any arguable facts just simply full on bs.

Here he says Giro-Tour double is not impossible and stresses he got a warm welcome when Tour went to Italy. Doesn't fit with "I'll never race the Giro again", it's weird he said it this way.

Whats the one other race he will do this year?

Any ideas?

Please be Tour of Poland, Please be Tour of Poland:p

Thor actually does not like Garmin strategy, that is why he ask Cancellara to talk to the sports director directly, he can do nothing about it but to obey team's order

Hushovd only stares at Cancellara's a$$ in order to aim where his foot is going to go.

I've been a Thor hater earlier in the season, but his Tour has been fantastic.

a strong team and 100k of ITT being one of them hilly should make the double possible for contador.

but i don't think the ASO will give contador that opportunity any time soon

At least there's a prologue next year and most likely a time trial up Alpe Dhuez and one long time trial.

well - Contador himself said it- IS DOABLE-IS ATTAINABLE- so I guess the the problem with the article from Velonews was "translation " -as always
he may have said he won't ride the Giro next year, and the editor added the "will never ride it again" to taint his words-as always-

I still rather see him do the Tour-Vuelta double. I like the Spanish race more than the Giro. The Giro is just boring at times with its uninspiring parcourse. Mountain finish after mountain finish after mountain finish... Though the Vuelta can get boring as well when it has a crappy field like last year... But this year has a great field and the course is pretty darn good.

He is implying that his team was weak? If I just rode two GTs in his support, I would be a bit offended.

What support in TdF? They sucked....

When was the last time anyone defended his Giro title? Not that many people seem to care or they think they can win the Tour after winning the Giro.

Indurain in 93, he also tried in 94

Pantani in 99 (yeah yeah I know):p

But his team was weak, wasn't it?

Absolutely. Funny enough, it was basically the same bunch of guys that helped him win the Giro. They sucked big time at the Tour, all of them but Chris Sorensen. Perhaps they were not ready to do the double expecting a decision from CAS, but I understand Alberto for being a bit annoyed at them.

Nope, the original Spanish statement was even more categorical than the English translation.
