And that is partly the problem I have with it all. He was tested the day before and there was nothing. This kills off the argument that it is a trace amount indicating he took a larger amount a day or two earlier. That leaves us with the idea that he intentionally took a very low (and apparently fairly pointless) amount.

Would be a lot more comfortable with it all if it wasn't so inexplicable...

But would make a whole of a lot of sense if he blood doped on the rest day and the blood had trace amounts of it - losing weight prior to the tour...

I'm more and more convinced...

We already knew that Damsgaard is corrupt. Now we know that he is an idiot as well. FLandis' B samples were tested and many came up positive for testosterone. The idea that he tested positive from a testosterone tainted blood transfusion does not match the facts, and people should stop promoting this debunked theory.

If this is the case, it would mean that even if Contie gets of scott free on this one, he could likely be busted due to the blood passport, as this would be showable in his profile. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the UCI needs more scientific investigation

Could you please explain?

-Evidence that Damsgaard is actually corrupt(serious charges!!)
-How the transfusion theory regarding Landis` case has been debunked

the second is quite clear, there were positives for testosterone all throughout the tour, not just after the rest days, also the amount of testosterone found indicates that it could never come from blood doping.

Judging by what ALWAYS happens, the same misguided souls who are always shocked that obvious dopers are caught will now be clamoring that Andy Schleck is the rightful winner as he's a clean guy unlike that hateful Contador.

You know, like how the clean Contador became the rightful winner in 2007 unlike that hateful Rasmussen.

Rinse and repeat.

It'll happen again when Andy Schleck himself gets caught one day....as it always does.

That's the thing that never ceases to amaze me about doping. The cases are cyclical, and the same people have the same reactions EVERY. DAMN. TIME.

Step 1: "It wasn't clean then, but it is now"
Step 2: New scandal. "WOW I'M SURPRISED!"
Step 3: return to step 1.

It's a neverending cycle of naivete.

As for the first one, his two business partners with whom he started that anti-doping business, kicked him out saying he could no longer be trusted and that he was accepting gifts from the teams he was supposed to be monitoring.

I place accepting a big $ bike gift while running the anti-doping program at CSC in the same category as the UCI accepting donations from Armstrong.

See Barrus' explanation. The people who promote the idea that FLandis has a tainted transfusion the night before stage 17 are ill-informed about the details of the case.

Hmm it was so absolutely minimal. I wouldn't hang out the flag yet ACF

Think he will get away with this one
So, he still had an illegal susbstance in his test! Fuyu Li's case was also minimal.

Thank you! Did not know(not an expert in the field). Who was his business partners? Astana? CSC/Saxo?

Those were his clients. He started a business with two other associates. That business (among other things) managed the anti-doping program for some teams.

Can somebody provide a link about Landis taking testosterone throughout the entire Tour?

Ha! Hadn't thought of that. Excellent point. His blackberry is probably red hot right now and his face is probably snow white.

And Andy and Stuey are exchanging texts I'd love to read...

Sooo funny!

Ok, so his testosterone values were "stable" during his tfd-tests, or did it vary, making it likely that a transfusion containing more testosterone had actually taken place. Because it could have been a situation were both things are true..?

And this is why I am laughing today, especially when I remember people using the TdF performances of Vande Velde and Wigans as proof that the TdF was a lot cleaner.

Fuyu Li should be happy. When the UCI lets Contador off, it will give the Chinese carte blanche to let their rider off.

The truly funny thing about this is watching all the Armstrong chamois sniffers dancing in the streets unaware, or too stupid to figure out, that this will damage Armstrong's credibility in the eyes of the American public. Armstrong looks more and more like a husband who just got back from a party at the Playboy mansion telling his wife he did not look at any of the women.

Google, the answer to most of life's questions.

Try googling for Landis' B sample results.

pretty much... in light of evrything there is no chance Spain sanctions him... then the UCI and the WADA will take it to the CAS. And they can't dismiss it cause there was something there... but they'll give him like a 3 month ban. and he'll crush AS next July to show him this year was a fluke al-la Jan in 03

A fluke ala Jan?!? Wow, you know cycling...

Anyway: The positive i a late justification for all the covering up of Contador being on the Fuentes list. Now all the riders who were allowed to still race despite doping, while others were used as scapegoats (Ullrich, Rasmussen, Basso), are caught: Valv-Piti, AC Contradoper and Epo-Lance waiting for the final curtain by Novitsky :)

this is news to me as well. As with most doping controls, it's about the single positive. If landis was positive earlier in the tour, he would have been declared as much.

But then again, I never paid much attention to the circus that his case had become.....

 Perhaps I'm mistaken with another doping case (there are far too many to keep all of them straight) I don't know for certain anymore

Try googling for Landis' B sample results.

All the results on the first page of the search term you suggest appear to be about the B sample taken after Stage 17. There doesn't appear to be anything about tests from other stages.

Please try being helpful. You can plainly see that this is news to a lot of readers here.
