Contador is so hungry to win, he wants to obliterate his opposition to shame and embarrassment... how much will he win the Giro overall by.....?

10+ It looks like he is determined to show everyone the true extent of his abilities taking time wherever he can. No gifts this year.

I hope we'll see a stage similar to the one last year in which a break got 12 mins. Just this year, the break should consist of everyone but Contador. Then we would have a fair fight, though Contador would probably still win.

he has 5 minutes on rujano. so he could win it with maybe 3 minutes. because rujano will crush him in the steep climbs but can take time back in itt and hilly stages

If he is serious about the TdF as well, I think he might just mark challengers for the rest of the Giro, use either of the time trials if he needs to consolidate. No need to destroy the field again, keep the double possible.

So about 2 minutes; any more is shooting himself in the foot.

These are my thoughts too. He wants to win, he doesn't need to win by 10 imnutes

If he wants to, he can put more than 7 minutes into the field. Possibly quite a lot more.

I'm not sure why he'd bother to though.

Doesn't matter how much he gains on the road. He'll be without a single Giro stage win and without his second overall title by the end of june... It is pathetic.

Huh? Contador winning the tour? what are you talking about? More like how much he will lose to rujano by. Rujano to win by 50 mins by attacking on every single climb and getting 5 mins from each attack.

With BMC getting a stage win....no wait that's too far-fetched.

without risking the wrath of the mods, CAS will certainly decide that he hasnt won the giro or any tour de france from 2010 - 2012

Maybe hes hoping to have about 4 by the end of 13. Then rest for the Tour. THats why hes so dead set on attacking and getting as much time as possible as early as possible.

Just a theory.

Let the race for…...

Let the race for second begin. Lol, I voted for the last option; pathetic really. Those this stage suited most caught napping (excepting Rujano), unless they are waiting for the stages AC really shines at to attack, duh.

Interesting theory, but he still has to burn his team to control the race from stage 13 onwards-and some key domestiques riding Il Giro are set to go to France too......

I know he is the strongest now, but the Giro is 3 weeks long and it is still to early to tell.

Alberto will win by only 4-5 minutes but could win by much more if he really wanted. That is if he doesn't fall asleep from boredom.

Don't count him out of the Tour yet.
