I'm stupid? You were the one that was bleating on earlier in the week about how Lance would be gone after today, that he wouldn't even be in the same group as the real contenders. Now that he has made you look like a fool again you come up some lame *** comment about him losing 21 seconds to AC's "group". He was never going to go with AC on that attack anyway, now that would have been really stupid. All AC was doing was seeing how his rivals would respond and he got the answer he wanted. LA was not a factor in that. If you can't see that then you are even more hate blinded than I thought.

But hey look on the bright side: There are two more weeks to go yet so you will have ample opportunity to get it tend wrong again. At least you are consistent.

No, the best part is that in 2 more weeks stupid people like you will be gone.

Just an insult form suggestion: the longer the insult, the weaker you look. Short, tight insults are far superior.

There is a big difference between the two situations. Everyone is acting as though Contador has never won a GT. Heck, he has even won this one.

Again, I still am not sure why all of the fanboys are not happy that Mr Armstrong is good enough to be in 3rd. I mean, this is all about cancer, right?

All about cancer??....nice joke

Lol good one sad man. Are the forums shutting down in two weeks?

Calling someone stupid doesn't make them so. Making dumb predictions like you do that never come to pass does. Sorry Failboy

Contador is not a fool, he knows the traditions of teams and the yellow jersey, if LA got that jersey today, LA would have then become the team leader and the only remaining chance he would have had to beat LA would be the TT. Contador is a 3 time GT champion for a reason, he knew that after LA's time gain on stage 3, he had to get back that time today, period, end of story. Now he has placed himself at the front of the team again and once he pulls on the yellow, that will be game over for LA. LA knows this, hence why he was ****ed off and used the media for his passive aggressive war with AC.

LA-"That wasn't really to the plan, but I didn't expect him to go by the plan, so [it was] no surprise."

For a champion like LA, that is a pretty pathetic statement to make. Sorry but not everybody is going to roll over and let him win, especially AC who has his own ambitions of glory.

LA needs to stop playing this media game, I cheered for him for 7 straight tours, but I'm feeling different about this one. What did he honestly expect the winner of all 3 grand tours was going to do??

No, I think it is to use cancer to prove he isn't arrogant, didn't dope, and isn't a fraud.

Ah ok. And here I was looking forward to the Vuelta and more of your astounding race predictions. Of course the object of you obsession is not racing it so you may be a bit lost for a subject.

Well, there is always the Tour of Ireland.

Anyway, all you seem to post about is me, so I guess that "obsession" is just projection.

Not really, I do try to post stuff on the actual racing. It's just that you give me so much good material to reply to.

I'll think on the photo and perhaps get back to you during the Tour of Ireland. I would prefer a shot with a bike in it though, not just you holding up your couch.:)

Your ratio is way down then.

As far as the picture, I will send you one holding up my crotch on a bike, compromise is my middle name.

Lance has been saying for the past week that the race will decide who is the strongest and who should be team leader. Didn't we see a little of that today?

Also, what's with that post race comment? Contador's attack today didn't hurt the team. It helped give them more time on their rivals. Why would he take the jab about going against the game plan?

I am pretty sure AC attacked because he was so sick of Versus' terrible commentary. Maybe now they will mention riders other than LA!

I´ve just moved to canada from old blighty and this is the channel i´m watching it on, and it is pretty bad, although they do replay the whole stage twice more during the day which is quite good.

Well done to contador today he attacked his own teammate, but just because he falls behind him due to an odd incident doesn´t mean he shouldn´t be allowed to try and win the tour. He has the number ending in 1 and he is at least the co captain of the team(i think he should certainly be the clear leader), so he should be able to do close to whatever he wants with the support of his team, and today he played to his strengths and put time into his rivals, and I think the next two stages the mountains come quite far from the end and then there is the rest day so it´s a good idea for someone like contador to go hard on this stage, although he didn´t get the yellow jersey :S

I'll take nothing away from Contador's attack and his form. Clearly he is a force in the peloton. But there were riders in that lead group who very possibly could have gone with him, and for strategic reasons did not. And there were riders in that group who should have gone, and could not. I'd be careful about those gross generalizations. Not all were chum in the wake of Alberto... not yet anyway.

who? (other than lance..who i doubt could have matched contador..but maybe he could have been less than 21s behind AC)

Lance carries the tour de france on his shoulders. Contador , the little puke, needs to understand that the tour and especially contador are zero without Lance and the hype he brings to the tour. Contador's only goal should have been to ensure that Lance got the yellow today. that would have been good for the tour. Contador is an inconsequential pimple of a man.

If Lance is half as enraged as I am, he is going to destroy Contador. I hope Contador never races again.

why should contador hold back if he felt he had the legs to attack (which he did)?

I am not sure there is any point in asking, but...

If Contador is wearing the #1 bib for Astana, why shouldn't he attack?

If someone else wanted to be the #1 bib and "leader" of Astana, and wasn't for whatever reason, shouldn't they swallow it and let it be?

Regarding the motos helping Alberto, I actually watched the stage live today and it appeared to me that they held Contador up more than helped him. His acceleration caught the motos by surprise and he had to weave to avoid them a couple times. Schleck should STFU and ride.

indeed...lets say contador didnt attack and the GC-group stayed together..what would have changed? what would have astana gained? even if you theorize that they could have put lance in yellow (which JB says they didnt want to), it would still have left unanswered questions as to who is no 1 between armstrong and contador as contador would have still be just 19 seconds from armstrong. and they wouldnt have gained any time on the other GC-contenders. personally i think contador should be the clear captain in the team and they should give armstrong some kind of free card.

because if you dont want AC to attack that basically means he is riding for lance and that lance is the new captain. which would be stupid in my opinion.

why would you have a rider like AC and not use his full potential on every mountain stage? its not like he attacked a teammate who was in yellow late in the tour or somehow helped the other GC-riders.
