What a great day for Tony Martin and German cycling. Grabsch added to thos great result with his fourth place. Now that Martin time trials like Ullrich, it is even more a pitty that he cannot climb like Ullrich- unfortunately, to win the German public for cycling again, it would be necessary to have another Tour contender...

But that is not important today. It is just great to see TM win. It is a pitty that Cancellara almost crashed in the final curves. Martin 1-2 Cancellara would habe been an even more beautiful result: The former King following his successor on the podium... Now I would be glad to see Cancellara win the road race- although I am quite sure that this won't happen...

This + more Danes + more internationals + 20-30'000 Norwegians, estimated by the organizers. You better get to the podium area very quickly after the race if you want to see the ceremony!

My advice would be to forget about the start, and secure yourself a good spot on the circuit in Rudersdal.

Why am I saying this?
You people should all go and see the start...:p

Ha yeah! I'm heading over on Friday - can't wait.:)

Had a break from the worlds last year, so now it's 'local' again, bring on the beer...

But during the hour or so Mengis was out there, the UCI nitwits changed their mind and disqualified him after he finished.
That's outrageous.

That's despicable, whoever made that call should be ashamed of himself. In a perfect world there would be a public outrage about this and the UCI ******* forced to apologise.

I think he means, where was the photographer when he/she took that photo?

That's what I meant, because it looks as if it was taken from a high place. This would have been a great day to know somebody who worked for the city :D There must have been a great view from inside the city hall.

Edit: I'm a she by the way.

Looks like the GB lads are getting there act together in time for the London Games.. Big Talent Pool .. Wonder if Romero will come back for the Womens Team Pursuit.. Guess everyone will be trying to stop the guys from cleaning up again.. Hopefully Hoy & Kenny can turn it up a Notch on the Track Scene..
Any way Wiggins & Co are lifting there game now .. I could imagine Brad beating Martin on Home Turf .. With the Crowd Behind him.. Go GB Go Sky..

No chance can "home support" make up the time between the 2 today.

I'll be interested to see Martin's 2012. What can he do in stage races, given that he used his characteristics optimally this year: scoring big, and will likely develop further next year?
