Total 1st group ownage by Oram. Didn't weaken throughout the TT. Given his margin right now I would expect him to finish inside the Top-10, like Vorobev and Hamelink with the U23s yesterday.

The Kiwi is clubbing the 1st group opposition to death like so many baby seals. The lands down under are truly owning the Worlds so far.

The boys from Down Under have always been ahead of you Europeans in many ways :D

Wonder if the boys will keep the aussie clean sweep of the Worlds on track tonight. all going according to plan so far, and word around Copenhagen is that Richie Porte's legs are looking extra pumped.

Kiwis = Long White Cloud
Aussies = Down Under

The term Down Under is a colloquialism which is variously construed either to refer to Australia and New Zealand, or Australia alone.

Anyone know who the favourite is for the junior men? Is there one?

Meh... Bettiol won the TT for juniors at the European cycling champs, so I had him pegged. Sadly he isn't starting, so I have no idea anymore.

David Edwards is an Australian starting in the last group. I'll go for him. :p

I can tell you with absolute confidence that I have never heard anyone here or from New Zealand refer to NZ as 'Down Under'.

Ohhh... Oram being challenged. By a Dane no less. Caspar von Folsach first person who doesn't lose time vis-a-vis Oram in sector 2.

Moving to Europe NZ and Australia both as referred to as Down Under,

But New Zealanders and Australians would not.

Yeah because Wiki is always right! It quotes the New Oxford American Dictionary.

So I'm happy where I stand :D

Mads Wurz Schmidt still ahead of Oram at check 2... Local boys are strong. Maybe a good idea to bet a few euros on Fuglsang or Morkov medalling in the pros TT?

EDIT: Wurz Schmidt still leading by a few secs at T3.... Gonna be close.
